Married Guy Everett Blanchard a the Madrid Congregational Church parsonage on Dec 30, 1940, and was a homemaker from that time on. She enjoyed bird-watching and travel and was a charter member of the West Potsdam Fire Department Auxillary and a member of the Home Bureau and African Violet Association. She was survived by two son and two daughters, a sister, 13 grandchildren, 22 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Mary Lesperance and Lucy Bates, and a brother, Clarence Taber, died before her. (Information from the Watertown Daily Times - May 19, 2001)

Died of cancer and ashes put in York River from a boat by son Albert
Carpenter. He was an advertising executive in New York, Newark, and
Monticlair. Later changed his career to own a marina in Gloucester Point, VA.
Sold the marina to son, Albert. He was a Captain US Army Ordinance Corps (WW
II). He was 6' 2" tall, bald with a pot belly.
