Type: Obituary GEKELER--Amy E. Gekeler, 947 Pettibone St., age 87, died Saturday, June 17, 1950, at the residence.  Funeral service will be held 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, June 20, 1950, from the Colonial Chapel, Reigle Funeral home, 2417 S. Saginaw St., Rev. C.F. Edgerton of Bancroft officiating, assisted by Rev. Eli Richard, and Rev. L.W. Surbrook.  Burial in Flint memorial Park.  Body will be at this residence, 947 Pettibone St., until noon Tuesday, then will be taken to the Reigle Funeral home for services.  She was born in Allentown, Mich., Jan. 13, 1863, and lived in Flint since 1919.  She was a member of Lincoln Park Methodist Church.  Surviving are:  Son, Floyd Carpenter of Flint; 2 daughters, Mrs. Helen Carl and Miss Edith Carpenter, both of Flint; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 stepsons, Frank Gekeler of Flint, Herbert Gekeler of Caro; stepdaughter, Mrs. Orrie Severance of Flint; 5 step-grandchildren; 8 step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Samuel Mitchell.

Vida Churchill, daughter of Peter and Evaline Churchill, was born inBerlin Twp.,, St. Clair, MIchigan, on July 23, 1864.
At the age of seventeen, she came with her parents to the Churchill homestead in Novesta Twp.,.  This was her home until her marriage toSamuel J. Mitchell on December 19, 1894.

For more than forty-two years, her presence has made home of the placein Evergreen where they began housekeeping.  To them were born sixchildren.  Two daughters preceded the mother in death.

Brought up in a Christian home, she heard the call of Christ while inearly life and yielded herself to the Savior.  For over fifty years shehas lived for Him.

Her death occurred on May 5.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, one son, Harry of Evergreen, threedaughters, Mrs. Gladys Crawford of Evergreen, Mrs. Ruby McRae of Detroit,Annie at home, eight grandchildren, one sister, three brothers and manyother relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday May 9, in the Shabbona M.E. Churchof which she was a member.  The Services were conducted by the pastor,Rev. G.A. Cole, assisted by Rev. J.A. Avery and Rev. B. Douglass.

Among the relatives from a distance attending the funeral were:
Ira Howey, Clarice Howey, Lester Howey, Mr. and Mrs. John Yates allof Roseville; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Watch of Royal Oak; Mr. and Mrs. Ed.Smith of Detroit; Mrs. Amy Gekeler and daughter, Edith of Flint; Mr. andMrs. Burton Edgerton of Almont, Duncan Gray of Pontiac; and Mr. and Mrs.Robert Brown of Caro.

Langshaw, Zeal I. Hickory Corners Zeal passed away December 15, 2014. Zeal was born March 26, 1911 in Monterey Township, Allegan County; the son of Desbert James and Margaret (Schafer) Langshaw. A farmer in south Monterey Township and Hickory Corners, Zeal was also employed by Rockwell (Blood Brothers) in Allegan during World War II. Zeal retired to Plant City, Florida in 1978. On March 31, 1934, Zeal married Marian Philley and she preceded him in death on January 14, 1983 after forty nine years of marriage. On April 10, 1984, Zeal married Irma Rudert and she preceded him in death on June 27, 2008 after twenty four years of marriage. Zeal is survived by children: Norman (Diana) Langshaw, James (Kaye Reed) Langshaw, Larry (Barbara) Langshaw, grandchildren: Todd (Debbie) Langshaw, Rebecca (Tony) Jones, and Victoria (Jeff) Thomas, a great granddaughter: Elizabeth Langshaw, step children: Joel (Christina) Rudert, Brian (Miriam) Rudert, Cheryl (Eric) Wurzbacher, and Michelle Carpenter, twelve step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Zeal was also preceded in death by his parents, a son: Harold Langshaw, brothers: Arnold Langshaw and Everett Langshaw, a step son: Eric Rudert and a step grandson: Matthew Rudert. KATTENHORN, Florence LaRue Livers, Passed away July 29, 2003 in San Jose, CA. Born September 3, 1915 in Shafter, CA , Florence attended Shafter High School, Bakersfield Junior College, and San Jose State University. Florence taught for 20 years at elementary schools in Escondido and Chart er Oak, CA. She also volunteered at Kaiser Santa Teresa Hospital for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Kattenhorn. She is survived by her son, Glen Kattenhorn; daughter, Jana Kattenhorn; sister, Louise Livers Hoffman, brother, James Livers, and two granddaughters Lisa and Debbie Kattenhorn. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Aug 7, 2003 at 11am at Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido, CA. DARLING-FISCHER CHAPEL OF THE HILLS, Los Gatos, serving the family.
