Obituary: "Mrs. Janette Carpenter died Saturday morning, April 9, 1932 at 3:15, at the home of her daugher, Mrs. Mae Cobb, after a long illness. Mrs. Carpenter was born in Belfast, New York, on February 8, 1848, where she lived until 18 years of age, when she moved with her parents, Ross and Mary Moore, to Newfield, Pennsylvania. where she spent the greater part of her life. Since the death of her husband in 1906, she has lived with her daughters. She joined the M. E. Church when but a girl, and as long as her health permitted she was an active christian worker. The deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Dunn, Seven Bridges; Mrs. Mae Cobb of Newfield, and Mrs. Maude Richmond, Genesee. Four brothers, W. W. Moore, Nunda, NY, J. W. Moore and Z. C. Moore of Coudersport, and A. R. Moore of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. L. Cobb at Newfield, Monday at 11:00 A. M. Rev. V. O. Priddy and Rev. N. Johnstone officiating, and burial was made in the Ulysses cemetery. Floral offerings were many and beautiful."
