John,
Alethea Titus (your no. 531 [wc-584-desc - aqw25.htm ]) married first in Rehoboth 16 May 1732, John Titus (her second cousin); he died in Rehoboth 9 Oct. 1732 (Arnold, VR of Rehoboth 1642–1896, 365, 881).
Alithea Titus, “widow," married second in Rehoboth 12 Sept. 1734, Isaiah (not Isaac) Carpenter; he died not “on 23 Mar 1744 . . . near Attleboro[ugh], Bristol, MA” but in 1743 near Sutton, Worcester, MA, in the district of New Sherburn, which became the town of Douglas in 1746. There is no record of his death and consequently no precise date of death; his estate inventory was taken on 19 April 1743 (Massachusetts, Worcester County, Probate Files, 1731-1925, no. 10077) . If he died on the day and month you state (23 March), it would have been in 1742/3.
Three of the four Carpenter children’s births are recorded at Attleborough; the baptism of the fourth, Jonah, is recorded at Sutton.
Elletheah Carpenter married third in Sutton, Worcester, MA, 9 Oct. 1745, John Robinson Jr., born in Weston, Middlesex, MA, 25 April 1719, son of John and Sarah (Morse) Robinson (Sutton VR; Weston VR). Their daughter Hannah was born in Pomfret, Windham, CT, 3 March 1746/7; their daughter Lucy and son Isaiah were born in Killingly, Windham, CT, 24 June 1751 and 28 Nov. 1753, respectively (Pomfret VR; Killingly VR). These are the only Robinson children whose births are recorded.
No death or burial records have been found for John and Alethea (Titus) (Titus) (Carpenter) Robinson. It is therefore not certain that they died in Killingly. But since their son Isaiah is recorded there in the 1790 census, one could say “probably.” Probate and/or land records might nail this down.
This Alethea did not marry again. An Alethea Robinson married Ebenezer Stoddard not “about 1758 in Woodstock, Windsor, CT" but on 2 Jan. 1777 in Pomfret, Windham, CT. Their six children were born in Woodstock between 1777 and 1793. This, however, was clearly a younger Alethea Robinson; she died at Woodstock 22 May 1821, aged 70 [b. ca. 1751] (Richard-A-Stoddard-CT - User Trees - Genealogy.com ).

Gene
