believe this is my ELSA,,ELSIE,,ALICE, Ihave here born
1793, but that could be off. She married CHARLES FISKE s/o
SQUIRE FISKE born Oct.5 1789 in Cumberland R.I. ALICE was a name used, but
town records say ELSEY. Res. Cumberland, R.I.

Per Book: "Lewis S. Carpenter was found dead in his bed at Adamsdale. April 28, 1896.
Mr. Carpenter was the son of John and Nancy (Bishop) Carpenter, and was born
and had always lived in the house in which he died. He was a farmer and in the
pursuit of this calling manuufactured a large quanity of cidar, which was
considered the best. Indeed "Carpenter's cidar" was well known all the country
round."
