5. Susan: familiar for Susannah. Married to Elijah Chaplin per CM. Correct is Champlin. 1850, 1860, 1870 census records in South Kingston, RI
7466. Abagail Ann "Abby" Carpenter
8. Abby: familiar for Abigail. Also married Silas Niles Littlefield. Census finds her at New Shoreham, RI in 1850, 1860 and 1870. Buried on Block Island, RI.
3. William: Married Hannah Carpenter per CM. Found to remain in Richmond, RI through 1870 Census.PARENTS: Conflict - Daniel & Mary Champlin Carpenter per the CM and a Benjamin per another record.
The issue is 2 William Carpenters. 1) born abt 1805 and the other 2) born abt 1790 son of Benjamin.
This is resolved with the 1850 US Census. The Hannah in that census is age 33 or born abt 1816 and the William C. Carpenter is born abt 1805. So the William (b. abt 1790), of Benjamin, is incorrect.CENSUS: 1850 US Census - See image: RIN 45418 William Carpenter 1850.jpg
