Group 3 - Descendants of William Carpenter-98-
Father of William Carpenter-584 (b. abt 1605)

Notes

635. Elizabeth Carpenter

Number 396 on page 93 of the Carpenter Memorial.
Marriage was published 12 Nov 1741.  She died age 61.

Col. Timothy Walker

First name listed as "Col." in AF.
!Col. Walker served in the Revolutionary War and served as a selectman and
representative in the general court of MA  His parents were Timothy Walker
and Grace CHILD Walker.

636. Keziah Carpenter

Number 397 on page 93 of the Carpenter Memorial.  Married Samuel Carpenter
number 729 of same record.  Family on page 248 and 249.

MARRIAGE:
Per Gene Zubrinsky,"Samuel married in Rehoboth, Mass., 4 or 14 Feb. 1741/2, Keziah Carpenter; Rev. David Turner officiated (James N. Arnold, Vital Record of Rehoboth, 1642-1896 [Providence, 1897], 81; Pomfret Vital Records [Barbour Collection], 33).”
See also husband's notes regarding marriage.

DEATH:
The death date of 23 Jan 1752 is for her mother in law. She died sometime after 1757.
Per Gene Zubrinsky, Since it’s possible that Keziah died during or soon after delivering son Samuel, on 24 May 1757, her date of death should be “aft 24 May 1757” or “aft 1756.”

Samuel Carpenter 4th

Number 729 on page 132 of the Carpenter Memorial. Family on page 248 and 249.
Per the CM he apparently married twice. But this is wrong. All children are from his wife Keziah Carpenter. See CHILDREN comment below.
The CM has a marriage date as 2 Jan 1741 (this is clearly wrong) on page 93 and 14 Feb 1742 on page 132. AF has marriage date as 14 Feb 1741. See MARRIAGE info below for clarification.
Death year might be Aug 1758 or 1753 as listed per handwritten notes in my CM copy. It is likely in error. It clearly is not 3 Aug 1753, since that is his father's death date. See DEATH below.

John,
Thanks for the feedback.
Now that you’ve corrected Samuel and Hannah’s respective dates of death (#281), you’ll want to delete them as dates of death for their son Samuel and his wife Keziah (#997 ), to whom they are still attributed. As I had indicated, the latter couple’s son Samuel was born in 1757; his parents, Samuel and Keziah, therefore lived until at least 1756 and 1757, respectively. I’m unable to find a death or cemetery record for either of them, but since their son Samuel remained in the area, it’s likely that his parents did, as well. You might look for a will or estate-administration record for Samuel (Keziah’s husband), and/or one or more guardianship records, in case he died leaving minor children (of course, he may have lived for many more years). Any of these would be found in Pomfret Probate District records.
