John,
I looked for Byron Carpenter, the descendant you
had marked to look for descendants.  I found him
in the 1880 census in Dayton, Campbell Co. KY,
same as you did.  I was unable to find him in any
census after this one though.  Same goes for all
the descendants of Amos Carpenter-93705 -- they
don't seem to be in the censuses.  I hope Paul
can provide us documentation that would show
where they were in the censuses.

The other Amos Carpenter-42569 was born on  25 Jul 1790 in Westminister, Windham, VT  and died 23 Jul 1865 in Le Ray.
Amos Carpenter-42569 and Amos Carpenter-93705 are 6th cousins 1 time removed.  
Common ancestor is William Carpenter-98 b. abt 1575 England through different spouses.
