JAY M CARPENTER (son of Andrew J Carpenter and Clarissa Pierce) was born on 26
Jun 1879 in Harford, Cortland, New York, USA. He died on 25 May 1937 in Dryden,
Tompkins, New York, USA. He married Frankie D. Bloomer (daughter of Charles A.
Bloomer and Martha A Puderbaugh) on 02 Feb 1910 in Tompins County, New
York, USA. She was born in 1888. She died on 20 Jun 1941.

JAY CARPENTER DIES
Dryden, May 27- Jay Carpenter, after an illness which began March 20, died at his home on the
Lake Road at 8:30 p. m., Tuesday, May 25.
The funeral will be held from the Perkins funeral home at 2 o'clock Friday. Burial will be at
Green Hills. Rev. Carl Steinheimer, pastor of the M. E. church of Virgil will officiate.
Mr. Carpenter was born in the town of Harford June 26, 1879, but had been a resident of
Dryden 45 yeras.
On February 2, 1910, he was united in marriage to Miss Frankie Bloomer of Dryden, who
survives him, together with one son, Freeman, at home: a brother, Marovah Carpenter of Harford;
a sister, Mrs. Clara Rood of Lisle; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Dryden Grange and the Tompkins County Fish and Game Club."

Funeral of Jay Carpenter
Dryden, June 3-The funeral of Jay Carpenter was largely attended at the Perkins funeral home
Friday afternoon. The bearers, all members of Dryden Grange, were Henry Collier, Robert Willard.
Fay Ballard, Earl Thomas, Clayton Bowker and Frank Van Pelt.
Those from away to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Rood and son Albert, and
