"Survivors are the widow; two sons, LaVerne, Hortonville, Floyd, Greenville; two daughters, the Misses Grace and Pearl, Hortonville; his father, August Zimmer, Appleton; three brothers, Alfred, Greenville; Elmer and Henry, Appleton; three sisters, Mrs. August Rehmer and Miss Loretta Zimmer, Appleton; and Mrs. Elmer Hilman, Milwaukee."

Donald Harold Zimmer, Rt.1, Appleton,age 50, passed away Wednesday morning at Theda Clark Hospital,Neenah. He was born May 30,1920 in Appleton. He was engaged in farming and ran a gun shop in Appleton,where he resided all his life. Mr. Zimmer was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church of Appleton.
Survivors include his wife,Eleanor; one daughter, Jacqueline; one son, Ronald; his parents,Mr.and Mrs.Alfred Zimmer; one sister, Mrs. Chris (Adeline) De Leeuw, all of Appleton.
Funeral services will be at Mt. Olive church with the Rev. Marlyn Schroeder officiating. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park.

"He was born at Appleton and moved to a farm in the town of Greenville where he spent his early life. He began operating a farm at Hortonville 23 years ago and was a silo builder. He was a director of the Central Mutual Hail Cyclone Insurance company.

The funeral for Herbert Charles Carpenter, 90, Dickey was held Thursday, October 1, M United Methodist Chutch with Rev. Terry Beyl officiating. Burial was in the Dickey Cemetery with Daly.Peterson-Lisko Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangemonla
Mr. Carpenter died Monday, September 28, 1987. He was born January 20, 1897, at Dickey. the son of Herbert I.. and Emma (Kluge) Carpenter. He received his education in Dick, schools and attended automotive school at Kansas City, MO. He returned Dickey and married Florence Hollbrook in 1926.
They farmed at Dickey, and he also ran the Standard Oil business there for several years. He later owned the Valley Oil Co. at Dickey. They lived at Dickey until 1944. when they moved to the farm They lived at the farm until 1964 when they moved back into Dickie. He was past president of the Dickey School Board  and a member of United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Lawrence, Adrian, Alan and Dean, Dickey and Steven. Telford, PA;  one daughter, Mrs. Joseph Baumgartner (Audrey), Fargo 24 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son, two sisters and one brother.
Pallbearers were Bradley Carpenter, Martin, Carpenter, Larry CarpenMr, Rodney Carpenter, Th., Capenter, Jeff Carpenter, Herbert Carpenter, Chad Carpenter, Michael Carpenter, Travis Carpenter, Randy. Baumgartner, and Kevin Baumgartner. Organist was Marilyn` Stemen. The Men's Choir sang "In the Garden", and 'The Last Mile of the Way."

Mrs. Genevieve Carpenter Simerson,77, of East Williamson Center, N. Y., died Wednesday morning, July 27, 1960 at the Clifton Springs, NY. Hospital. She was born in Niles Valley.

She is survived by her husband, Emory J. Simerson of East Williamson; a son, Samuel M. Carpenter Jr. of Ontario, NY.; two sisters, Mrs. Oliver Schmelzle of Canton and Mrs. Charles Buzzard of Clearfield, and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Williamson Saturday morning, the Rev. Mr. Heersma officiating. Burial was in the Middleburg Union Cemetery at Keeneyville.

Benjamin H. Carleton
Benjamin H. Carleton, 93, of Founders Pavilion, formerly of 321 Village Manor Apts., Painted Post, died today, April 8, 1982 in Founders Pavilion.

He had lived there since 1980.

He was born Sept. 5, 1888 in Hammond, Pa. to William and Elizabeth Nichols Carelton. He married Florence L. Betts Oct. 26, 1921 in Corning. She survives.

He was a telegrapher for the former New York Central Railroad and later a watchman for the former Erie Railroad, retiring in 1952.

He was an avid hunter and a member of the Erwin Valley Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He spent most of his life in Crooked Creek, Pa., moving to Painted Post in 1942. He moved to Bradford, N.Y. in 1954 and returned to Painted Post in 1979.

Other survivors are a daughter, Geraldine Ashley of Willow Street., Pa., son, Rev. Ralph Carleton of Reno., Nev.; brother, William Carleton of Corning; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Friday 7-9 p.m. in Carpenter's Funeral Home. Services will bet there Saturday at 11 a.m., the Rev. Jesse A. Peace officiating. Burial will be in Hammond Cemetery, Hammond, Pa.

Those wishing may make memorial donations to the Erwin Valley Christian and Missionary Alliance Church Building Fund.
