Obituary
Mrs. Samuel Mitchell.Vida Churchill, daughter of Peter and Evaline Churchill, was born inBerlin Twp.,, St. Clair, MIchigan, on July 23, 1864.
At the age of seventeen, she came with her parents to the Churchill homestead in Novesta Twp.,. This was her home until her marriage toSamuel J. Mitchell on December 19, 1894.For more than forty-two years, her presence has made home of the placein Evergreen where they began housekeeping. To them were born sixchildren. Two daughters preceded the mother in death.
Brought up in a Christian home, she heard the call of Christ while inearly life and yielded herself to the Savior. For over fifty years shehas lived for Him.
Her death occurred on May 5.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, one son, Harry of Evergreen, threedaughters, Mrs. Gladys Crawford of Evergreen, Mrs. Ruby McRae of Detroit,Annie at home, eight grandchildren, one sister, three brothers and manyother relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday May 9, in the Shabbona M.E. Churchof which she was a member. The Services were conducted by the pastor,Rev. G.A. Cole, assisted by Rev. J.A. Avery and Rev. B. Douglass.
Among the relatives from a distance attending the funeral were:
Ira Howey, Clarice Howey, Lester Howey, Mr. and Mrs. John Yates allof Roseville; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Watch of Royal Oak; Mr. and Mrs. Ed.Smith of Detroit; Mrs. Amy Gekeler and daughter, Edith of Flint; Mr. andMrs. Burton Edgerton of Almont, Duncan Gray of Pontiac; and Mr. and Mrs.Robert Brown of Caro.

miscarriage. She never remarried
At the time of his marriage Fred lived at 'Forres House' Alma St and his wife
Ethel lived in Fitzroy st, Rockhampton. He was an accountant
They also lived at 12 Lennox St, Rockhampton, from 1934 to when they moved
south. Before the War they moved south to Sydney. They had a shop in Manly
for sometime. Later moving to 4, Waine St, Harbord. He died of a heart attack.
