Her husband was a millwright and a housewright.  They resided in Seekonk and
their marriage was published 16 Aug. 1826.

Betsey, who married Simeon Daggett had a daughter Olive Elizabeth who
married a Joshua Day.  Mrs. Day's house in Seekonk, stands on or very near
where William Carpenter's (No. 18 in the CM)house stood.  The cellar of the
house was pointed out to Amos B. Carpenter in 1844 or 1845 by Wooster
Carpenter, Esq., from which the compiler (Amos) took a brick which probably
came out of William Carpenter's (No. 18) chimmey.  The cellar hole, as it was
seen then, showed plainly that a house had stood there.

Jacob L. Cloud was born April 28th, 1823, in Clinton county, O; died October 12th, 1888, aged 65 years, 5 months and 14 days, on the same farm on which he was married Nov. 2, 1848, to Ann M. Carpenter. He leaves a wife and eight children, four boys and four girls. He was a member of the Baptist Church and of the Masonic Order, by whom he was buried Sunday at 10 o'clock in the Masonic Cemetery at this place.

They moved to Milton,,VT  The Congregational church was
organized in Milton Sept. 21, 1804 with fifteen members.  Aaron
and wife joined at that time as charter members.  Aaron Carpenter
enlisted as a private in Captain Perry's
company, in Colonel Mitchell's regiment, July 27, 1780, and
served three months and five days and marched to reinforce the
Continental Army in Rhode Island.

NOTE:  The following data cited in appearance of estate papers on line and is a summary of what was seen.
Probate filed on 8 Feb 1837 by Alfred Carpenter, son and executor of the estate.
It contains an inventory of the estate that runs 2 and 1/4 pages with an appraised value of $4051.09.
It contains a copy of the hand written will of Aaron Carpenter submitted to probate on 17 Oct 1836 by son Alfred and it was accepted. It mentions wife Hannah. It mentions daughters Patty Donavan(?) Hannah Brugham. Dorea Meers and son Harrvey Carpenter. Then daughter Sally Collins is mentioned. On the next page it mentions daughters Polly Carpenter and Abigail Carpenter.  Item 4 mentions son Alfred Carpenter who gets the bulk of real and personal estate. It also mentions Patty Baker the sister of Aaron. Alfred is appointed executors of the will.  Will is dated 4 June 1836 and Aaron made his mark with witnesses attending.
On 8 Nov 1836 $6,000 was placed in the probate account by Alfred.
On 1 Mar 1837, widow Hannah Carpenter waives provision made for her and requests her dower and assignment of personal estate as per the current law of the State of Vermont.
On 8 Nov 1837 the probate estate was examined and allowed.
Alfred Carpenter submitted $929.09 of expenses matching a total of $929.09 detailed for disbursments and expenditures to the family on 8 Nov 1837.
Widows dower and real estate was ordered appraised for 234 acres of land including the farm of the deceased Aaron Carpenter dated 13 May 1837.
The total parcels, farms and bulidings were appraised at $3700.00 with the widows doer and real estate portion being $1235.00. Dated 24 Apr 1837.
Hearing date 21 Sep 1837 provides claims on estate. This includes taxes and such totaling $154.82.
Representation of insolvency of estate dated 8 Feb 1837.
Widows portion of the estate ordered given on 26 Sep 1837.

Nathaniel signed a quit claim to the estate of Samuel Carpenter, his father in
