Manchester in the state Legislature in 1842; held the office of
Justice of the Peace for three years in ,RI, and the

On a recent visit to Gloucester MA, I noticed a house bearing a plaque
that said "Osman Babson Carpenter," and then a date (about 1860). Does
anyone here know who this Carpenter was?
