E-MAIL: Thu, 18 May 2000 From: John Carpenter
Hi John,
Well, sometimes you just have to say, "We've done enough for now".  My
wife and I became interested in genealogy after finding family
information in my grandmothers desk after she passed away.  We have been
uncovering branches of the family tree over the past couple of years.
Recently we purchased Amos B. Carpenter's "Carpenter Family in America"
and found that it listed Deacon Stephen, his son Darius and his son
Daniel.  Attached to this message are all of the remaining descendants
that we have found with our research.  It has been a very enjoyable as
well as educational experience studying the family heritage.  We hope
this addition fills a gap in your current tree.  We look forward to
hearing from you soon.
Best Regards, John William & Debra Carpenter Somers, Connecticut.
NOTE: John & Debra submitted updates on this family descendancy line.

2347. John Carpenter

Number 1401 in the Carpenter Memorial on page 203.
Resided on Coe Ridge in OH before he died?

NOTE:  Children numbers: 20565, 20566, 20567, & 20568 placed as children with Lucina Thompson under marriage date of 9 Jan 1813.  These were from another John Carpenter son of Barlow.
NOTE:  Which John Carpenter of two who is the rightful father of this line is unknown.

FINALLY:  12 Aug 2014
The John Carpenter who married Lucina Thompson and went to Ohio is John Carpenter-20563 and not John Carpenter-20358 of John Carpenter-15737 and Hannah Record-18659.  This was done by census work where John & Lucinda were found in the 1860 and 1850 US Census records with John listed as being born in MA. See his notes.
John L. Carpenter of NH supplied the key piece of information, even though at first it appeared to have conflicting information (data typed in wrong from the 1860 US Census image). Once backtracked everything fell into place.  JRC
