NOTE:
Parents at birth of Kenneth Eugene were Earnest Marion Carpenter and Maggie Fauver in Clark Records.  There was a second child and we now have the birth certificate.
Their mother died when they were very young and maternal grandparents raised them.  Kenneth was later in Kentucky.
Woodrow Wilson Carpenter married a Turner girl and they lived in Marshall, Clark, IL.  They adopted a child.  When they separated, Woodrow took the child to Kentucky.
Earnest Marion was 22 years at the birth of Kenneth and 26 at the birth of Woodrow.

He was gassed in WWI and was "shellshocked."

NOTE:
Birth certificate said mother, Maggie Fauver Carpenter and Ernest Carpenter.  (Ernest Marion Carpenter) Laborer, residence, West Union, (Clark), IL.  They were both 26 at the birth of this child.
Letter from Irene Conner, July 1997, "I can't tell you much about these boys.  Their mother died when they were quite young and their mothers' family raised them.  I probably never saw them over half dozen times.
Years ago I heard Kenneth was in Kentucky.  Woodrow, as a young man, lived awhile in Marshall, IL.  He married a Turner girl and they adopted a little girl.  His wife divorced him and he took the child and went to Kentucky.  I will see if any of this is on record."
We are indebted to Irene Conner who has helped us clear up mistakes and add information to the material published in 1996.  She also sent the marriage date  for Ernest Marion and Maggie Fauver.

Mr. Carpenter,
Thank you, thank you, thank you, so very much sir; my local genealogist tried to help me 10 months ago with the Y test instead of the Ancestry Auto which for my purposes did nothing. If my goal is to find out if the stories r true of Carpenter lineage with Robert Carpenter and RC2 I have heard the children of RC2 were tested with a 67 marker? I was thinking the 111 test and one more for triangulation. (Suggestions for the 111 test and triangulation)?
I'm moved by the Robert Carpenter 1&2's stories, RC1's age of enlistment, the age of his son then, his son's age of enlistment in 1812, I would deeply appreciate ur thoughts? To me it is the greatest story of patriotism I've ever contemplated. I'm forever connected to it through service, service to meritocracy and absolute belief in liberty, in our Declaration of Independence along with my constitution.
D.A.R. Has told my family we should no long assume as of 2005 or 2007 this linage is ours, I would rather DNA have a say, ideologically I am with them and revere the courage.
Woodrow Wilson Carpenter aka grandpa is alive, he's upstairs here in Kentucky, his daughter my mom Gay Caldwell was not adopted, she's is the lone blood relation child of Woodrow and Kenneth. Great Uncle Kenneth passed in FLA just over a decade ago but was amongst the first ever officers of the Air Force as he was an Army Air Corps Officer and retired Air Force. Grandpa Army Calvary Officer, in 1934 trained with the horse drawn Calvary in ROTC. The W.W. Carpenter Foundation in Bellevue Kentucky is his, he and his brother were something and their memories I would like to be reflected in your organization.
To surmise Mr. Carpenter, what are the two best tests to asses connection the Carpenter line? Family DNA 111 and another? To triangulate, or do the 111 marker first to see if there is even a need? Has anyone proved a link to the first Carpenter in 1610 through Y DNA? If the family story is true Woodrow Wilson Carpenter is a direct Y line to the Roberts, is there a Y DNA record of Carpenters in England that has ever been compared?
The Carpenter Cousins organization at the least should b made aware there's a private museum in the family of Enameled art, a magazine, (glass on metal) and a workshop all in Bellevue Kentucky, along with the honorable service of these two last Officer Carpenter Brothers in WWII.
Thank you again sir, if u have 5 minutes for a call I would appreciate it at ur leisure 859 609 6417, I believe grandpa should take the 111 Y marker test as if he is related exactly how close will matter.
VR/S.Woodrow Caldwell
