He died of cancer.

Started working with Continental Illinois Bank as an office boy in 1925 and
retired in 1970 as a part of bank management. WWII 2 yrs. infantry combat,
landing on Omaha Beach in France right after D Day. Served with Patton's Third
Army, met and shook hands with the Russians at the Elbe River. Trained in
jungle warfare to help on Japanese invasion until the Atomic Bomb was used to
end the War. Compiled George Galloway material to publish "Our Family Tree".
