Hello John,
Have not been on line lately so just got to your e-mail. I am not sure of the
exact date of my father's death but will look it up soon. I have recently
moved here from the UK and everything is still in boxes!
He owned a department store called "Carpenter's" in Riverside, California and
was also a Captain in the army and possibly a Major, but not 100% sure. He is
survived by my brother Robert Guy Carpenter and myself and has two grandsons:
David Michael Torry Carpenter and Christopher Robert Simon Werter.
He lived in Riverside and Newport Beach, California all his life and was
particularly proud of being a "native blocker"!

Oh...Robert Guy Carpenter born 9/03/44 and I was born 12/27/51. Christopher
was born 01/02/87, not sure of David's birthdate...possibly 12/26/72

Charles A. Carpenter III, born 1915 who is residing in San Marcos, CA
in March 1996.Charles and his good wife were married on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28,) in 1935
and recently celebrated their 60th Wedding Aniversary.
They have resided in San Marcos for the last 50 years. Charles retired as
Chief of the Sam Marcos Fire Protection District where he served for more than
33 years. They owned a poultry ranch previously.DEATH: Reported by his wife Frances (in San Marcos) to JRC on 18 Nov. 2002 by telephone call.
