42043. Nancy Pearl Shrader

Nancy Pearl Shrader was born 18 March 1947 and died 30 May 1966 with  the
birth of her only Child, Melody Farrell. Doctors had told Nancy that her heart
was  too weak to give birth to the child but she refused to have an abortion.
Rumors have  it that James Farrell, the father of Melody, threatened to leave
her if she aborted their baby.   Melody was raised by her Aunt Alberta, who
married Glen Sandy of Calhoun County  22 March 1985 in Wood County and resides
in North Carolina.

Evelyn Eloise Taylor Carpenter, 95, known by her friends as Lucy, and most of her family as Maw Maw, of Martinsburg, WV, formerly of Huntington, WV, left this life on October 6, 2012, and was greeted by her husband, Everett M. Carpenter, her parents, G. Franklin Taylor and Trinnie F. Johnston Taylor, and many others she knew and loved in this life. She was born March 17, 1917 in Peach Ridge, near Hurricane, WV.
She is survived by her two sons, W.F. John Carpenter (Bette), and Ernest L. Carpenter, all of Martinsburg, WV; six grandchildren and spouses, Jane Ann Thompson (Brian), of Inwood, WV, John Carpenter (Kathi), of Martinsburg, Beth Reece (Mike) of Keedysville, MD, Karen Martin (Eric), of Martinsburg, Susan Lemmons of Martinsburg, and Jim Carpenter (Kristi), of Bella Vista, AR; 21 great grandchildren; a sister, Betty J. Neal of Martinsburg; several nieces and nephews.
