David Carpenter - Aka: Fredrick Davi Carpenter
While searching Grt. Grandfather David Carpenter, I found documentation of David's marriage to Ketturha Brumley in 1870. His name is written as Fredrick Davi Carpenter. I believe this to be an error and first and middle names were switched. All family census conclude that David had three daughters with Mary unkown, remarried and had seven sons with Ketturha Brumley. Please note that Ketturha has been mispelled throughout all family census and most documentation. According to my grandfather, his mother's name was spelled Ketturha Brumley. Not Cittora, Ketturrha, Kitturha and so forth. Found old letter with correct spelling written from my grandfather's hand. family census ten years later, his name is listed as David Carpenter and is married to Ketturha. Ketturha's name has been repeatedly mispelled on census as well.

Findley Carpenter, son of Samuel R. and Elizabeth Finley Carpenter, married Catherine Brand in Mt. Ephraim, Noble County, Ohio, on 2 Apr 1870.

Findley and Catherine were the parents of the following children: Sentta, born 1871; Campay, born 1873; Lizzie, born 1875; Samuel C., born 1879 - died 25 Apr 1882; F. M., born 12 Dec 1886; and Lonzo C., born 8 May 1889.

Findley, a teamster, died of typhoid fever. Marion County Death Records have his age at death as 49 and his year of death as 1901. However, his tombstone indicates he was born in 1851 and died in 1902, which would have made him 51 years old when he died.
