3747. Ural "Chime" Bunting

Ural F. "Chime"  Bunting, age 49, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, July23, 2010, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born September6, 1960, in Caldwell, son of the late Robert L. and Nora MarleneGlidden Bunting. He was a 1978 graduate of Meadowbrook High School,and he worked in oil fields for Knox Energy of Gratiot. He enjoyedfast cars, motorcycles, and riding four wheelers.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, JustinF. Bunting, who died in 2004; and his step-father, Wilfred Carpenter.
Surviving are one son, Josh A. Bunting of Caldwell; his paternalgrandmother, Edna Truax of Caldwell; his siblings, Connie (Charles)Burch of Dexter City, Robert L. (Anna) Bunting of Newcomerstown, Karen(Guy) Googins and Carol (Dan) Richardson, both of Cambridge, and Wes(Tammy) Carpenter and Charles (Trixy) Carpenter, both of Byesville;one granddaughter, Bryleigh Bunting; and many nieces, nephews, aunts,uncles, and cousins; and many friends.

CALDWELL---Justin F. Bunting, 22, of Caldwell, died Monday (May 18,2004)
He was born May 26, 1981, in Cambridge, son of Ural "Chime" Buntingand Connie Ball Bunting of Caldwell.
Mr. Bunting was a 1999 graduate of Caldwell High School, where he wasa member of the cross country and track teams.
He was an employee of Land and Shore Drilling, where he worked as anoil field worker.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, WilfredCarpenter.
In addition to his parents, he leaves a brother, Josh Bunting ofCaldwell,  maternal grandparents, Charles and Sandra Ball ofSarahsville;  paternal grandmother, Nora Carpenter of Byesville;several aunts, uncles and cousins;  and a special friend, Paula Hessonof Caldwell.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday at McVay-PerkinsFuneral Home, Caldwell, where services will be 11 A.M. Friday with theRev. Jimmy Rogers officiating.  Burial will be at the convenience ofthe family.  Tuesday 19 May 2004 Jeffersonian.

Joni Marmie Bennett, 58, of Barnesville, Ohio, passed away Monday, May19, 2014 at Cumberland Pointe Care Center, after her battle withcongestive heart failure. She was born February 3, 1956 in Ft.Campbell, Kentucky, daughter of Norma Snyder Marmie and the late IkeMarmie.
Joni, known by all as ‘Bronc,’ a 1974 Union Local High Schoolgraduate, had worked as a nurse for VOCA. She enjoyed taking familyvacations, paranormal investigations, sports, and politics.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by herbeloved dog, Belle.
In addition to her mother, Norma Marmie, Joni is survived by herhusband of 24 years, Homer Bennett of Barnesville, Ohio; children,Emily and Kevin Bennett of Barnesville, Ohio, Barbie (John) Whiddon ofMoundsville, West Virginia; grandchildren, Haley and Ella; brothers,Bruce (Brenda) Marmie of Hendrysburg, Ohio, Michael Marmie ofMoundsville, West Virginia; mother and father-in-law, Esther and HomerBennett; uncle, Harold Snyder; aunt, Joyce Latham; several nieces andnephews; and her cat, Yoshi.
Family and friends may visit, Thursday from 5 p.m. until the MemorialService beginning at 7 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron FuneralHome/Patron Cremation Service, 702 East Main Street, Barnesville,Ohio. SUMMERFIELD---Judie A. Carpenter, 34, of Summerfield, died at her homeat 11:15 P.M. Friday (Jan. 28, 1983)
She was born in Summerfield on Aug. 1948, daughter of Ancil andMargaret Poulton Haga.  She was a employee of Conalco in Hannibal,where she worked for seven years.  She was a member of the Church ofChrist.  Her first husband, Edward Hanes died in 1969.
She leaves her husband, Dale C. Carpenter;  two sons, Tony Hanes andTravis Carpenter, both of the home;  and one brother, Ronnie Haga ofCaldwell.
The body was cremated.  Brubach Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.  Monday 31 Jan. 1983 Jeffersonian.


Edward Lee Hanes

Woodsfield - Edward Lee Hanes, 21, of Summerfield Route 1, died in aone-car
accident at 11:40 p.m. Saturday on Ohio 78 near his home.  MonroeCounty
sheriff's office reported.
The car he was driving went out of control for 855 feet on both sidesof the
road before turning over three times, sheriff's deputies said.
The youth was taken by the Brubach ambulance to the Smith-JenkinsClinic in
Caldwell where he was pronounced dead of a fractured skull.

Woodsfield - A Summerfield man returning to his job at Worthingtonafter spending Memorial Day with his parents was killed in a one-caraccident Saturday in Monroe County.
Edward Lee Hanes, 22, died of a fractured skull when his caroverturned along Route 78 near the Monroe-Noble county line.
The sheriff's office at Woodsfield said Hanes was traveling at a highrate of speed.  His car went off the right side of the highway,traveled 375 feet, crossed over left of center onto the berm andtraveled another 480 feet and then turned over three times.  The carwas demolished.
Hanes, an employee of Wagner-Smith Electrical Construction Co.,Dayton, had been working on a construction job at Worthington.
Funeral services for Hanes will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday atSummerfield Church of Christ with Evang. McKinley R. Batesofficiating.  Burial will be in Eastern Cemetery at Summervield.
Born Feb. 22, 1947 at Summerfield, he was a son of Ira B. (Baud) andWandena Bruce Hanes.
Surviving are his parents; his wife, the former Judy Haga; one son,Tony, 18 months; two brothers, Gene of Pittsburgh., Pa. and David ofCaldwell; one sister, Mrs. Margaret Willey, Orange City, Fla.; severalaunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

Dale C. Carpenter, 70, of 3362 Lynn Drive, Zanesville, Ohio (formerlyof Summerfield, Ohio) died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at his home.
He was born near Lewisville, Ohio on July 11, 1937 a son of the lateAlfred D. and Verna Wehr Carpenter.
He was a 1955 graduate of the former Lewisville High School,Lewisville, Ohio; a retired employee of the former ConalcoCorporation, Hannibal, Ohio; a member of the Hartshorn Ridge Church ofChrist near Graysville, Ohio; a member of the Fraternal Order ofEagles, Woodsfield, Ohio; a social member of the V.F.W. Post 5303,Woodsfield, Ohio and a former member of the Summerfield Volunteer FireDepartment, Summerfield, Ohio.
Surviving are five sons: Ryan Dale Carpenter of Cambridge, Ohio, KurtCarpenter of Westerville, Ohio, Jeffrey Armstrong of Columbus, Ohio,Tony Hanes of Florida and Travis Carpenter of Florida; one sister:Sandy Bates of Woodsfield, Ohio; several grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother,Carlos Carpenter.
There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Calais Cemetery, Calais, Ohiowith Frank Love officiating.
