But the joys that do not perish,
Live in memory alone.
All the years we?ve spent together,
All the happy, golden hours,
Shall be cherished in remembrance,
Fragrant sweets from memory?s flowers.

Peaceful be thy silent slumber,
Peaceful in thy grave below.
Thou no more will join our number
Thou no more our sorrow know,
Yet again we hope to meet thee
When the day of Life has fled.
And in Heaven with joys to greet thee
Where no farewell tears are shed.
