SUMMERFIELD---Earl Carpenter Jr., of Summerfield R.D.1, died at 10A.M. Thursday (Jan. 2, 1986) at Barnesville Health Care Center,following a four year illness.
He was born Oct. 2, 1905, in Monroe County, son of the late Earl W.and Adelia Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter was a retired farmer and a Methodist by faith.
He leaves his wife, Edna M. Moore Carpenter of the home, whom hemarried Feb. 7, 1929; a daughter, Mrs. Sylvan (Lila) Wise ofSummerfield; two sons, Bradley Carpenter of Quaker City and EarnieCarpenter of Barnesville; four brothers, John Carpenter and RacyCarpenter, both of New Philadelphia, Robert Carpenter of Cambridge andRalph Carpenter of Lewisville; three sisters, Jenny Stephens ofCambridge, Lilly Stephens of Cumberland and Evelyn Carpenter ofClarksburg, W.Va.; 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
One son, two sisters and two brothers are deceased.

Edna May Moore

Edna Mae Carpenter, 99, of the Emerald Pointe Nursing andRehabilitation Center, Barnesville, Ohio (formerly of Summerfield,Ohio) died Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at the center.
She was born near Batesville, Ohio on October 15, 1910 a daughter ofthe late Grant and Sara Carpenter Moore.
Edna was a homemaker and a member of the Calais Church, Calais, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Earl Carpenter, Jr. on January 2, 1986; one son, Harold Carpenter;foster parents, Oscar and Martha Carpenter; two brothers, Earl andHubert Moore; three sisters, Zelma Moore, Ollie Bates and EsterMorris; two half-brothers, Roy and Austin Carpenter; threehalf-sisters, Ocie Mercer, Sherlee Carpenter and Elma Carpenter.
Surviving are one daughter: Lila Wise of Barnesville, Ohio; two sons:Bradley (Delma) Carpenter of Quaker City, Ohio and Ernie (Judy)Carpenter of Barnesville, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; several great great grandchildren.

Wesly E, Carpenter, 62, of 602 N. Lincoln Ave.,  Barnesville, diedtoday (July 5, 1986) at Barnesville Hospital.
He was born 24 March, 1924, in Noble County, son of the late Calvinand Pearl Starr Carpenter.  Mr. Carpenter was a self-employed fuel oildistributor,  a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and aveteran of World War II.  He was a member of Elks Lodge 1699,  MooseLodge 1304,  American Legion Post 168 and VFW Post 2792, all inBarnesville.  He was a manger of Dutches Restaurant in Barnesville.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Patricia Ann and one sister,Eleanor.
He leaves his wife, W. Jean Clark Carpenter;  two daughters,  Mrs.Dennis (Becky) Hunkler and Mrs. William (Molly) Wiley, both ofBarnesville;  three brothers, Ellis and Jimmie both of Barnesville andLawrence of Lebanon, PA.;  three sisters, Mrs. J.K. (Edith) Stephensof Lore City,  Mrs. Donald (Norma Lee) Stephen and Mrs. Paul (Lucille)Huntsman, both of Barnesville;  three grandchildren and threestet-grandchildren.

away Wednesday, August 29th in Columbus.  She was born July 11, 1953at
Barnesville, a daughter of Wesley and Wanda Jean Clark Carpenter.
She was a Methodist by faith.
Besides her parents she is survived by two sisters, Rebecca Sue andMolly
Elizabeth, all of the home; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. WalterClark
of Bethesda and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs, Calvin Carpenterof R.D.

The body was brought to the Campbell & Plumly Funeral Home on NorthChestnut
Street where friends were received.

Lawrence D. Carpenter Sr., 89, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday, May20, 2010 at Cedar Haven Nursing Home.
He was the husband of Anna M. (Shirk) Carpenter for the past
65 years.
Lawrence was born in Quaker City, OH on February 6, 1921. He was a sonof the late Calvin & Pearl (Star) Carpenter.
He attended the Quaker City High School, in Ohio. He served in theU.S. Army during WW II. He was self employed from the former CarpenterAMOCO Service Station in Lebanon. He enjoyed watching all sportingevents and was a member of the Church of St. Cecilia, Lebanon.
In addition to his wife Anna, he is survived by three children;Lawrence D., husband of Mary Alice Carpenter Jr., of Mt. Gretna,Daniel Lee, husband of Barbara Carpenter, of Lebanon, and JacquelineA. Carpenter, of Lebanon, five grandchildren; Lawrence J., Brendan,Andrew, Janelle, and Angie; eight great granddaughters; and a sister,Lucille Huntzman of Barnesville, OH. He was preceded in death by sixsiblings, Edith, Eleanor, Normalee, Ellis,
James, and Wesley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Huntsman; daughter,Donna Huntsman; son, Jackie Huntsman; seven brothers and sisters:Edith Stevens and Norma Lee Stephens, Ellis Carpenter, ElanorCarpenter, Lawrence Carpenter, Wes Carpenter and Jimmy Carpenter.
She is survived by two sons: Jimmie (Mary Jo) Huntsman of Quaker Cityand Wes (Vicki) Huntsman of Bethesda; two daughters Lena Mae (Kenneth)Williams of Senecaville and Judith Huntsman of the home; 10grandchildren: Joe, Dwain, Michelle, Karen, Mark, Dale, Hope, Joy,Danielle, and Taylor; 14 great-grandchildren and fivegreat-great-grandchildren.
