Decker, 86, of Beallsville died Saturday, November 15, 2008 inBelmont Community Hospital, Bellaire.  She was born February 27, 1922in  Monroe County, a daughter of the late Clurney and Lydia CarpenterReed.  Eva was a member of Captina Church of Christ, near Beallsville.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Clyde; her son, Carlos, her grandson, Kevin; and her son-in-law, RogerWarren; also by three sisters, Vivian, Lou, and Martha.  Surviving areher daughter, Carol Warren of Beallsville; her daughter-in-law, EloiseDecker of Canal Fulton, Ohio; a brother, Ed Reed formerly ofBeallsville; three sisters, Harriett Gross of Bellaire, Fern (Harold)Ackerman and Shirley Headley, both of Woodsfield.; three grandsons,Steven Eric (Teresa) Warren of Shadyside, Brad (Sonya) Warren of NewAlbany, and Cody Decker of Canal Fulton; four great-grandchildren,Stacy, Derek, Dylan, and Taylor.  Visitation will be Monday, November17th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsvillewhere funeral  services will be held Tuesday, November 18th at 11:30AM with Jeff Rich officiating.  Interment will follow in BeallsvilleCemetery

REED, Clurney "Ed," 83, of Beallsville, passed away Sunday in OVMC,Wheeling.
He was born May 28, 1929 in Monroe County, a son of the late Clurneyand Lydia Carpenter Reed.
Ed was a retired employee of Blaney Lumber and a farmer, also a USArmy Veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of American LegionPost 768. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by hiswife, Betty Jean Gates Reed; an infant son, Todd; and five sisters,Vivian Gillespie, Lou McLaughlin, Martha Rosso, Eva Decker, andHarriet Gross.
Surviving are three sons, Tim Reed (Dixie Lucas) and Terry Reed, bothof Beallsville, and Eddie (Julie) Reed of Flushing; two daughters,Tammy (Sam) Horvath of Richmond, and Debbie Reed of LA; two sisters,Fern Ackerman and Shirley Headley, both of Woodsfield; four grandchildren, Shardae Reed, Aimee Horvath, Steven and Rachel Reed; adaughter- in-law, Tammy Reed; several nieces and nephews Visitationtoday 6-9 p.m. at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where serviceswill be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.

WOODSFIELD Homer Eugene Headley, 73, of Woodsfield, died Tuesday (Oct.5, 2004) at The Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.
He was born March 3, 1931, in Woodsfield, son of the late SilasHeadley and Barbara Hartline Headley.
Mr. Headley was owner of Headley Meats, Woodsfield, and a retiredemployee of Ormet Aluminum, Hannibal.
He was a member of Woodsfield Church of Christ, the American LegionPost 0888, Columbus, the DAV, and a life member of Western ReservePost 1055.
He was a Korean War veteran.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Hilda Headley and JessieMiller.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Shirley Reed Headley of Woodsfield;three sons, Russell Headley, James (Wendy) Headley and Marlin Headley,all of Woodsfield; two daughters, Sharon (John) Huffman of Jerusalemand Kim Chaplin of Woodsfield; a sister, Dessie Glanville of AnchorPoint, Alaska; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home,Woodsfield, where services will be 1 p.m. Saturday with Evangelist SamBartrug officiating.

DECKER, Harold L., 76, Beallsville, died Thursday, August 13, 2009, inWheeling Medical Park Hospital.
He was born September 23, 1932, near Beallsville, a son of the lateBrady and Katie Carpenter Decker. He was a member of the BeallsvilleChurch of Christ, a retired employee of Ormet Corporation, Hannibal,and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by twograndchildren, Jeremiah Decker and Amber McFrederick; also ten sistersand brothers.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Lavella Hartley Decker; hischildren, Bob (Sheila) Decker, Zelda (Eddie) Boston, Katie (Mancel)McFrederick, and Brady (Tammie) Decker, all of Beallsville; tengrandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Raymond "Tanner" Rucker, 73, of 3419 Monroe Ave, Beallsville, diedJune 30, 1996 near Beallsville.  He was born July 24, 1922 in MilwoodCenter.  He was a self-employed carpenter and a US Army veteran of WWII.
Surviving are one son, Ron "Tanner" Rucker, Beallsville; twodaughters, Carolyn Randall, Woodsfield and Vickie Schaffer,Beallsville; two sisters, Mary Donna Kinemond, St Clairsville, MrsHilda Barton, Shadyside; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Hazel CarpenterRucker; three brothers, Homer, Kenny and Bill Rucker.
Friends were received July 1 at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsvillewhere services were held July 2.
Interment followed in Beallsville Cemetery.  Full military gravesideservices were conducted by American Legion Post #768, Beallsville.

Kenneth Wison Rucker, 65, Beallsville, died July 25, 1991 at his home.He was born Sept 2, 1925 in Monroe Co., a son of the late Carl andHazel Carpenter Rucker.
He was a Protestant by faith and a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of WWII.  He was a retired electrical worker and member of BeallsvilleAmerican Legion Post 768.
He was preceded in death by one son, Richard, in 1969, and by abrother, Homer, in 1987.
Surviving are a son, Jeffrey of Tucson, Arizona; five daughters, DonnaOtto, Beallsville, Cynthia Jennings of New Martinsville, W Va; MrsRaymond (Pamela) Keiser of Barnesville, Linda Venick of Columbus andPatricia McGarry of Woodsfield; two brothers, Raymond "Tanner" Ruckerof Beallsville and Bill Rucker, Clarington; two sisters, Hilda Bartonand Mary Donna Kinemond, both of Shadyside; 19 grandchildren.
Services were held from the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville, onSaturday with American Legion Post 768 offficiating.  Intermentfollowed in Beallsville Cemetery.

3134. Richard Rucker

SP/4 RICHARD L. RUCKER, OF BEALLSVILLE, KILLED IN VIETNAM ON MAY 30TH.

Spec. 4 Richard L. Rucker, son of Mrs. Dorothy Barker, of Woodsfield and Kenneth Rucker of Beallsville Route 3,  was killed in action near Sagion on Thursday, May 30th, according to word received by his parents from the Department of Defense, Monday.
The infantryman would have been 21 years old next September 28th.  A 1965 graduate of Beallsville High School, he was the third member ofhis class to be killed in Vietnam.  The others who gave their lives were Pvt. Dwayne Greenlee and Cpl. Charles Schnegg, Pfc. Jack Pittman, a 1964 Beallsville High School graduate and a close friend of Ruckeralso was killed in Vietnam.
Pfc. Rucker entered the service May 10, 1967.  He trained at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and was shipped overseas Oct. 5, 1967.  He was a rifleman in Company A of the Fourth Battalion of the Twelfth Infantry of the United States Army.
He leaves his parents;  a sister, Donna, 18;  a step-brother, Jeff and three step-sisters, Cynthia, Patricia and Linda.
The body will be returned to the Harper and Campbell Funeral Home at Beallsville.   Thursday 6 June 1968 Monroe County Beacon WoodsfieldOhio.


3138. Donald Eugene Rucker

Funeral services were held Monday at the Beallsville Church of Christfor Donald E. Rucker, 18, of Beallsville,  who died unexpectedly nearhis home about ten o'clock Saturday morning, September 2, 1957.  Thecause of death was not immediately determined.
He was a 1967 graduate of Beallsville High School and a member ofBeallsville Church of Christ.  He was born July 9, 1949, a son ofHomer and Grace Hendershot Rucker.
Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Larry and Davidand a sister Joyce all of the home;  the paternal grandparents,  Mr.and Mrs. Carl Rucker, and the maternal grandfather, Todd Hendershot,all of Beallsville.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Charles, are three sons and fourdaughters, Paul of Dover, Charles, George and Mrs. Kilbert [sic](Esther) Kleyman of here, Mrs. Vernon (Bessie) Keck of Magnolia, Mrs.Baldy (Gladys) Baker of Strasburg and Mrs. Clara Mae Baker of Canton;seven sisters and three brothers, Mrs. Helen Clark of Norwalk, Mrs.Grace Leach of Barnesville, Mrs. Harriet Boron of East Sparta, Mrs.Cilestia Pittman, Mrs. Lucille Boron, Mrs. Geraldine McCoy, Mrs.Waneta Rumbold, Paul and Robert, all of Canton, and Sam ofRobertsville; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 in Lebold Funeral Home with Rev.Harold Henninger officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hil Cemetery atCanton. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 2 to 4 and7 to 9.

BOLIVAR -- Charles H. Workman, 91, died Saturday in Morning ViewHealth Care Center at New Philadelphia following a brief illness.
He had been a Strasburg resident for three years, living with hisdaughter Gladys Baker. Prior to that he was a Bolivar area residentall of his life. His hobbies were quilting, gardening and hunting.
His wife, the former Jessie L. Leach, died in 1976. Four brothers, asister and a granddaughter also preceded him in death.
Surviving in addition to Mrs. Baker are three sons and three otherdaughters, Bessie McCoy and Charles J., both of Canton, George R.,Paul and Esther Kleyman, all of Bolivar, and Clara Mae Kleyman ofStrasburg; three half sisters; 21 grandchildren, 34great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 in Lebold Funeal Home with Rev.Harold Hemminger Sr. officiating. Calling hours are Monday from 2 to 4and 7 to 9. Burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery at Canton.

Margaret J. Leach, age 82, of East Canton, died Tuesday morning [26Feb
2002] in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Daughter ofthe
late Harry and Emma (Utterback) Wingerter. She was an East Cantonresident
since 1954, and was the former owner/operator of Carrollton Poultryand Egg
Auction. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Leach,in
1979; three brothers, Arthur, Walter and Billy Wingerter; one sister,Mary
White. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, BernardWilliam
and Carolyn Leach of East Canton, Joseph Leach and his fiance' MaryKing of
East Canton; one daughter, Shirley Ailing of East Sparta; 14grandchildren;
26 great-grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren; threebrothers,
Paul of Canton, Bernard of Minerva and Ray of Missouri; numerousnieces and
nephews. Private family services were Friday, March 1, 2002, in the
Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with interment in

Paul C. Leach
Paul C. Leach, age 81,of Canton, passed away Tuesday afternoon [30
Aug] in Timken Mercy Medical Center after an extended illness.  He wasborn
in Callas, Belmont Co., * OH, and had been a Canton area resident mostof
his life.  He retired in 1971, after 30 years service, from the TimkenCo.,
where he worked in Dept. 81.  He served with the U.S. Army duringWorld War
II.  Survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorothy J. Leach, with whom he wouldhave
celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on November 6, 1994; two
daughters, Mrs. James (Karen) Middaugh, and Sandy Morrison; one son,Robert
Leach all of Canton; five sisters; one brother; three grandchildren;and one
great-grandson.  Services will be conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the
Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral home with Pastor Kenneth Baillis

Dorothy J. Leach, age 78, a resident of St. Luke Lutheran Home, passedaway
there Wednesday evening. She was born in Canton, a daughter of thelate
Herman and Edith Beltz Wilson, and was a life resident. Dorothy was a1943
graduate of Lincoln High School. She retired in 1981 from the J. C.Penny
Co., after 16 years of service, where she was a retail clerk. Precededin
death by her husband, Paul C. Leach, on Aug. 30, 1994, her son, Robert
Leach, on Aug. 30, 2000, and a son-in-law, James Middaugh, on March14,
2003. Survived by two daughters, Karen Middaugh and Sandy Morrison,both of
Canton; twin granddaughters, Shelly Pepper and her husband, Randy, andtheir
children, Steven and Shannon, all of North Canton, and Kelly First andher
husband, David, of Perry Township; a grandson, Jamie Leach, of Canton;and a
niece, Sharon Harding and her husband, John, of Ben Lomond, CA.Services
will be conducted Sat. at 10:30 a.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon
Funeral Home with Pastor George Keeler officiating. Interment in NorthLawn
