Geraldine S. McCoy, age 87, died Tuesday in the Pines Nursing Home.She formerly had resided at the White Oak Convalescent Home.  Born inBeallsville, O., she had been a Canton area resident most of her life.Geraldine was a member of the Canton Baptist Temple.  She is survivedby a daughter, Doris (Hunter) Rash of Canton; three sons anddaughters-in-law, Paul and Robin McCoy of Beach City, Clifford andLiana McCoy of Strasburg, and Gary and Joy McCoy of West Milton, O.;10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eightgreat-great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Leach of Brewster; and anumber of nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by herparents, Charles and Julia Leach; five sisters, Jessie Workman, LucyBoron, Harriet Boron, Celestia Pitman, and Waneta Rumbold; and twobrothers, Paul and Sam Leach.  Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m.in the Lamiell Funeral Home with Rev. David Harmon officiating. Celestia Jean Pitman, age 80, of Canton, died Monday evening inAultman Woodlawn following a brief illness. Daughter of the lateCharles and Julia Leach. She was a Canton resident most of her lifeand a member of the Canton Baptist Temple where she had worked in thenursery many years. Celestia's favorite past time was working in heryard and caring for her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Z. Pitman in 1990, twobrothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Carol Pitmanof North Lawrence, Stokes and Jerry Pitman of Canton; two daughtersand sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Roy Young Jr., of Magnolia, Waneta andJim Roffey of Newark; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; onesister, Geraldine McCoy of Canton; one brother, Robert Leach ofBrewster.

Robert Z. Pitman, age 67, of 4181 Shepler Church Rd. SW, Canton, diedMonday
morning in Doctors Hospital following an extended illness.  A liferesident
of the Canton area, retiring from the Timken Co. in 1975 with 32 yearsof
service.  Also employed by the Perry Police Dept. and served as anAuxiliary
for Stark County Deputy Sheriff.  A member of Canton Baptist Temple.
Preceded in death by a half brother, Jim Stafford.  Survived by hiswife,
Celestia, to whom he had been married 47 years; two sons, RobertPitman of
North Canton, Stokes Pitman of Canton; two daughters, Mrs. Roy(Elizabeth)
Young of Canton, Mrs. Jim (Waneta). Roffey of Newark, OH; seven
grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Irene)
Barnhart and Thelma Geese, both of Canton; one brother, Frank Pitmanof

Center. She was retired from the J.C. Penney Co. Member of CantonBaptist
Temple. Preceded in death by her husband, Edward in 1977; a sister,Jessie
Workman; two brothers, Samuel and Paul Leach. Survived by twodaughters and
a son-in-law, Becky Rumbold of the home, Judy and Ed Byers of Canton;a son
and daughter-in-law, Ben and Sue Rumbold of Massillon; sixgrandchildren,
Jason and Chad Rumbold; Joshua Vaughn; Amanda, Frankie and TravisByers;

Cleveland Clinic Hospital following a six-month illness.  Born inNoble
County, and a Canton area residing [sic] for 40 years.  He was adispatcher
for the Berger Division Republic Steel, an Army veteran of World WarII, and
a member of Stanley Bowman Post No. 440 American Legion.  Survived byhis
wife, Ann H; one son, Dennis, a student at Akron University; onedaughter,
Karen of the home, and one stepbrother, William Stevens ofBeallsville,
Ohio.  Services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the KreighbaumFuneral Home
with Pastor Tom Homrighausen officiating.  Burial will be in ForestHill

BEALLSVILLE--Funeral services for Zelmar O. Darby, 58, Beallsville,were held at 1 P.M. today in Harper-Campbell Funeral Home here withRev. Richard Perkins officiating.  Burial was in Beallsville Cemetery.
Mr. Darby died at 11:30 P.M. Tuesday (Dec. 5, 1972) in BarnesvilleHospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Born May 31, 1914, in Beallsville,  he was the son of the late Georgeand Minnie Turner Darby and was a member of the Methodist Church andan employee of Ormet Corp.,  Hannibal.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,Anthony Lawrence Reischman;  two brothers, Guy and Clyde Kuhn;  and asister Katherine Darby.
She leaves four sons, Paul Reischman of Mansfield;  Micheal Reischmanof Edgefield, S.C.;  John Reischman and Pete Reischman of San Antonio,Texas;  four daughters,  Thelma Smith of Beallsville;  Joyce Truax ofWoodsfield;  Priscilla Lumbatis of Canal Fulton; and Barbara Carpenterof Woodsfield;  26 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren and agreat-great-grandchild.

Born in Miltonsburg,  April 22, 1914,  he was the son of the latePeter and Theresa Riesbeck Reischman.  He was a retired employee ofTimken Roller Bearing Co., Canton, and was a member of Eagles Lodge,Woodsfield and Moose Lodge, Barnesville.
Mr. Reischamn leaves his wife, Lucille Reischman;  four daughters,Mrs. Ed. Mrs. Lela Mae Riley Jarrett passed away Saturday, May 18 at 5 P.M. ather home R.D. 2 Belmont.  Mrs. Jarrett was 50 years of age.  She wasborn at Pugh Ridge, near Beallsville, on December 8, 1912, thedaughter of Harry and Mary Carpenter Riley and was a member of theHomewood Church at Crabapple.
Surviving are her husband, Floyd Jarrett of the home;  her parents ofBeallsville;  a son Lloyd Goodrich of Beallsville;   twostep-daughters,  Mrs. Ella Goodson of Bethesda and Mrs. Helen Staffordof Culberson;  two brothers,  Starling Riley of Beallsville and OraRiley of Cleveland;  four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Thornberry, Mrs DonaldKuhn and Mrs. Buella Neff all of Beallsville and Mrs. Lorena Groves ofAkron and nine grandchildren.

Ora W. Riley, 93, formerly of Beallsville died Saturday, January 12,2013 at his home in Brookpark, Ohio. He was born January 20, 1919 inArmstrong Mills, a son of the late Harry and Mary Carpenter Riley. Hewas a US Army Veteran of WWII, a retired employee of the former OhioCrankshaft Industry, a member of the Beallsville First ChristianChurch, and American Legion Post 768. In addition to his parents, Orawas preceded in death by three sisters, Lorena Groves, Lela Jarrett,and Beulah Neff, also by a brother, Starling Riley. Surviving are hiswife of 70 years, Dessie Smith Riley; his children, Bonnie (Ray)White, Dixie (Greg) Baran, Patsy (Russ) Chesbro, Jerry (Phoebe) Riley,Bobbie (Frank) Chesbro, Tom (Joann) Riley, and Rodger (Nellie) Riley;two sisters, Ruth Thornberry of Beallsville and Dorothy (Harry)Shaffer of Woodsfield; 25 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; twogreat great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Friends willbe received Wednesday 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Harper FuneralHome, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11AM with Wayne Clark officiating. BEALLSVILLE---Harper-Campbell Funeral Home here has charge ofarrangements for Robert I. Kuhn, Beallsville, who was dead on arrivalabout 9 A.M. Wednesday (July 1, 1970) in Barnesville General Hospitalof an apparent heart attack.
He became ill at work at the Olin-Mathison Co. in Hannibal, and wastaken to the hospital.
Born Oct. 11, 1922, in Beallsville, he was the son of Clarence andMaggie Hudson Kuhn and had been employed by the Olin-Mathison plantsince its opening.
He attended the local United Methodist Church and was a member of theSportsman Club and a veteran of World War 11.
He leaves his widow, Dorothy Riley Kuhn; a son, U.S. Army Sp-4 DannieLee Kuhn, who returned to Vietnam Wednesday after being in Cambodia;and a half-brother, Ronald J. Kuhn, Beallsville.  A brother Chester,is deceased.  3 July 1970 Friday Cambridge Jeffersonian.
