BARNESVILLE---Florence R. Wells, 66, of Barnesville, died Monday(March 22, 1993) at Barnesville Hospital.
She was born Dec. 29, 1926, in Monroe County, daughter of the lateWalter F. and Lulu Wehr Christman.  She was a retired seamstress,having worker several years in the garment factories in Barnesville.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Clesson R. Wells, abrothers, Clyde Christman and two sisters, Janice Powell and NevaChristman.
Mrs. Wells leaves her husband, Rollie F. Wells;  a daughter, Etta JoBurkhart of Woodsfield;  two brothers, W. Ralph Christman of Jerusalemand Don Christman of Summerfield;  four sisters, Doris Green ofCambridge,  Kathlyn Miller of Cuyahoga Falls,  Peggy Jo McLaughlin andEva Pearl Kennon, both of Barnesville;  and a granddaughter.

Rollie F. Wells

BARNESVILLE--Rollie F. Wells, 91, of Barnesville, died Monday (Feb.13, 2006) at Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Jan. 7, 1915, in Belmont County, son of the late Forrestand Dardanie (Swallie) Wells.
Mr. Wells was a Protestant by faith and a retired miner, havingworking for the Consol Coal Co.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence R. (Christman) Wells;an infant son, Clesson R. Wells; a brother, Vernon Wells; and twosisters, Leona E. Wells and Othello Humphrey.
He leaves a son, Keith (Barb) Wells of Barnesville; a daughter, EttaJo (Terry) Burkhart of Jerusalem; five grandchildren, Lei Ann Wells ofByesville, Penny (Matt) Powell of Owensburg, Ky., Sam Wells ofBarnesville, Chasidy Burkhart and Derek Burkhart, both of Jerusalem;and two great-grandchildren.

Quaker City - Clyde Christman, 54, of Quaker City, died at 9 A.M.Wednesday (Oct. 12, 1983) in Barnesville Hospital.
He was born Jan. 8, 1929 in Noble County, son of the late Walter S.and Lula Wehr Christman,  a farmer and an operating engineer, he was amember of the Quaker City United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Clara Belle Kennon, who he married Oct. 27,1951, he leaves five sons, Clyde Reed, Jay and Darin, all of the home,and Dennis and Clinton, both of Quaker City; two brothers, Ralph ofJerusalem and Don of Summerfield; six sisters., Katherine Miller ofCuyahoga Falls, Florence Wells, Peggy McLaughlin and Eva Pearl Kennon,all of Barnesville, Jane Powell of Quaker City and Doris Green ofCambridge; three grandchildren and several; nieces and nephews.
One sister and one grandchild preceded him in death.

WOODSFIELD--W. Ralph Christman, 65, of Jerusalem, died Monday (Nov. 4,1996) at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va.
He was born Nov. 30, near Calais, son of the late Walter F. and LuluJ. Wehr Christman.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Ohio OperatingEngineers Local 18, Akron. He was Protestant by faith. Mr. Christmanowned and operated a farm near Jerusalem for more than 40 years.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Neva Christman, JanicePowell and Florence Wells; a brother Clyde Christman.
He leaves his wife, Lodena Mercer Christman, whom he married Dec. 21,1957; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Keel and Penny Christman ofBarnesville and Ryan Todd and Robin of Jerusalem; four sisters,Katherine Miller of Cuyahoga Falls, Mrs. Melvin (Eva Pearl) Kennon andMrs. Charles (Peggy Jo) McLaughlin both of Barnesville, and DorisGreen of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren; several nieces andnephews.

Marlie Lodena Christman, 76, of Jerusalem, Ohio died Tuesday, June 30,2009 at the Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center,Barnesville, Ohio.
She was born in Calais, Ohio on April 22, 1933 a daughter of the lateJames Chester and Ocie Carpenter Mercer.
She was a homemaker; a Methodist by faith; an avid quilter and lovedgardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Walter Ralph Christman on November 4, 1996; three brothers, DonaldMercer, Ellis Mercer and Joseph Mercer; five sisters, Bonnie Egger,Martha Lou Betts, Nancy Crum, Opal Mercer and Betty Mercer.
Surviving are two sons: Ralph Keel (Penny) Christman of Barnesville,Ohio and Ryan Todd (Robin) Christman of Jerusalem, Ohio; one sister:Emma Bates of Jerusalem, Ohio; one brother: Jim (Betty) Mercer ofJerusalem, Ohio; five grandchildren: Meredith, Hannah, Mallory, Dulcieand Cade; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Christman Powell in1986.
He leaves his wife, Eleanor Christman Powell, whom he married Aug.1986; two sons, Kevin (Gerta) Powell of Quaker City and Kim (Janet)Powell of Cambridge; a daughter, Sgt. Mrs. Green died Thursday (Nov. 9, 2000) in Union Hospital Dover.
She was born April 30, 1937, in Monroe County, daughter of the late,Walter Franklin and Lulu (Wehr) Christman.
Mrs. Green was a graduate of Cadiz High School.  She retired from NCRafter 25 years of service and was a Protestant by faith.  She was amember of the VFW Auxiliary,  the Eagles and Moose Lodge, all ofCambridge.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,Edward "Bud" Green, who died in March of 1996, two brothers, ClydeChristman and Ralph Christman and three sisters, Florence Wells,Janice Powell and Neva Christman.

He was born March 15, 1940, in Guernsey Co. to Wayne H. and Grace T.(Carpenter) Hannahs.
He served in the US Army; a member of International Union of OperatingEngineers Local 18, Friend ship Lodge 89 F&AM, VFW 2792, AmericanLegion 168, BPOE 1699 and FOE 4252.
He was preceded by his first wife, Brenda Hannahs.

QUAKER CITY -- Donald L. Harper, 66, of Quaker City, went to be withthe Lord and his son, Randy, on Friday (March 30, 2012) atSoutheastern Med, Cambridge.
He was born in Barnesville on Sept. 5, 1945, son of the late James L."Bus" and Wanda (Johnson) Harper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, RandyL. Harper; a brother, Ronnie L. Harper; and his beagle, Remington.
He is survived by his wife, Linda C. (Hannahs) Harper, whom he marriedJuly 1, 1967. He also leaves a son, James L. "Stretch" (Jenny) Harperof Quaker City; a daughter, Kimberly D. (Carl) Hanley of Barnesville;three granddaughters and three grandsons, Kayla C. Harper of Waco,Texas, Chandler K. and Kyle L. Harper of the home, Emalee P. Harper ofQuaker City, Austin D. and Caileigh D. Haney of Barnesville; twobrothers, Charles O. (Kathy) Harper of Quaker City and F. Dean (Billy)Harper of Morristown; many nieces, nephews and close family membersand friends; and his beagle pup and good friend, Dixie.
Donnie worked as a farmer and was a retired heavy equipment operator,and former owner of Don's Shell in Quaker City. He was an OxfordTownship trustee for over 30 years. He was also a member of KirkwoodLodge 446 F&AM of Hendrysburg.
He enjoyed being outdoors from mowing his yard to sitting on the porchenjoying the evening sun. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and all thetime he could spend with his family and friends. He was a proudhusband, wonderful father and amazing grandpa, and enjoyed everymoment he was with his friends and family.
