THOMSON, GA.---Dr. John W. Lemley, 70, husband of Mrs. Mary Lemely, ofWrightboro Road, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001 at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Thomas First UnitedMethodist Church with the Rev. James C. Elder Jr. officiating.  Burialwill be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Dr. Lemely, a native of Morgantown, W.Va., had lived in Thomson formany years.  He was a medical doctor.  He was a graduate of WestVirginia University and the University of Pittsburg Medical School.He was an Army veteran.  He was a member of Raysville Boat Club, theWrightsboro Foundation,  a Mason and a Shriner.  He was a pastpresident and member of Thomas Kiwanis Club.  A past member of Jayceesand he was a member of Thomas Rotary Club.  He was a member of theMcDuffie Hospital Staff for over 40 years and he was a member ofThomas First United Methodist Church.
Survivors  include his wife, Mary Lemley, Thomas;  two sons, Dr.Robert Lemley and Dr. James Lemely, both of Thomas;  two step-sons,Steve Lindsey and Henry Lindsey;  both of Thomas;  and threegrandchildren.
Pallbears will be Dr. Pat Barmore, Dr. Mike Molitor, Dr. Frank Powell,Dr. Charles Wills, Dr. Joe Wills and Dr. John Bieltz.
Honorary pallbears will be Doctors and Medical Staff in McDuffie Co.
Friends may call at the residence or at the Curtis Funeral Home.  Thefamily will receive friends from 7 to p.m. Thursday night at thefuneral home.  The Augusta Chronicle--April 26, 2001.
