CALDWELL ? Larry L. Bunting, 62, of Caldwell died Tuesday evening(Aug. 16, 2005) at his residence following a courageous battle withcancer.

He was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Beaver Township, Noble County, Ohio, ason of the late Rodney and Florence Stephen Bunting. Larry was a 1961graduate of Quaker City High School and following graduation enlistedin the United States Army, where he served from 1961 to 1964, spendingtwo years of that time in Germany. He was a paratrooper with the 82ndAirborne at Fort Bragg, N.C.

He was a retired state trooper with the Ohio Highway Patrol with over31 years of service, having been stationed in Marietta, Cambridge andvarious District 7 posts. He was a resident patrolman for Noble Countyfor 14 years. Mr. Bunting served as president and vice president ofthe Eastern Troopers Lodge District 7; FOP Lodge 152 for 12 years aswell as serving as president and vice president of Troopers For ASafer Ohio. He was on the combined board for the Ohio TroopersCoalition and vice president of the Ohio State Troopers RetireeAssociation.

Larry was an avid supporter of Special Olympics, having served ascoordinator for the Marietta to Columbus leg of the law enforcementTorch Run for 13 years. In 2003, he was chosen to represent Ohio inthe final leg Torch Run Journey across Europe. He participated in theopening and closing ceremonies at Athens, Greece and Dublin, Ireland.

Larry has participated in the Polar Bear Plunge for Special Olympicsin Ashtabula for nine years, and was instrumental in implementing theBuying With Bears Program at Christmas for the area.

Larry was a Seneca Lake Park ranger for three years and a substituteschool bus driver for Caldwell Exempted Village Schools. He was anauxiliary patrolman for the Caldwell Police Department; a member ofthe Belle Valley American Legion Post 641 and a member of the honorguard for Caldwell VFW Post 4721; and a member of the Caldwell UnitedMethodist Church, where he served as a trustee.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by asister-in-law, Joanne Carpenter. Surviving are his wife of 38 years,Connie Meighen Bunting, whom he married Feb. 19, 1967; two daughters,Mrs. Russell (Betina) Lang of Marietta and Mrs. Sean (Amber) Sweeneyof Columbus; twin granddaughters, Morgan and Madison Lang; one sister,Bonnie Patterson of Quaker City; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Karl(Shirley) Olnhausen of Cambridge; several nieces and nephews; and hewas known as ?Dad? by many special friends.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 P.M. today at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home,Caldwell, and from 9 to 11 A.M. Friday at the Caldwell UnitedMethodist Church. Services will be conducted at at 11 A.M. Hollie K. Bunting, 66, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 20,2006 at his home. He was born Nov. 18, 1939 in Calais, Ohio, a son ofBessie Brownfield Bunting and the late Hobart Bunting.
Hollie worked with Lash Paving and Excavating Co., and formerlyattended the Church of Christ.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a half brother,Bobbie Bunting; brothers: Sammy and Jackie Lee Bunting; a sister,Gloria Bunting.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Bessie Brownfield Bunting ofZanesville, Ohio, are his wife, Wanda Borovich Bunting; sons, Scott(Deborah) Bunting, Steve (Danielle Leach) Bunting, all of Barnesville;a grandson, Craig Baker; two sisters, Barbara Bunting (John) Cooper ofZanesville, Ohio; Sheila Rae Darrah of Zanesville, Ohio; a brother,Hugh Bunting, of McConnelsville, Ohio.

Mr. Bunting died at 2:20 A.M. Monday (March 14, 1977) at GoodSamaritan Medical Center, Zanesville.  He had been an invalid since atimber cutting accident in 1965.
He was born July 22, 1935 near Calais, the son of Hobert Bunting,Barnesville and Mrs. Edna Bunting Truex, Summerfield.

BYESVILLE---Nora Marlene (Glidden) Carpenter, 68, of Byesville, diedWednesday (Nov. 9, 2005) at the Red Carpet Health Care Center,Cambridge.
She was born June 16, 1927, in Noble County, daughter of the late Tedand Fonda (Rogers) Glidden.
Mrs. Carpenter was an expert seamstress and homemaker. She was Churchof Christ by faith.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, fishing and spending time with hergrandchildren and helping others. She was known as "Granny" to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred O. Carpenter, on May29, 2000. They were married Oct. 18, 1968. Also deceased are twobrothers, Robert and Rolland; and a grandson, Justin Bunting.

CARPENTER, Sharon Kay (Hunter), 61, of Smithfield, Ohio, passed awaySunday August 29, 2010 in East Ohio Regional Hospital.
Sharon was born Aug. 15, 1949 in Wheeling, W.Va., daughter of the lateJoseph Junior and Ruth Aldine Rusen Hunter.
She was self-employed, providing cleaning services for homes andbusinesses. She was Presbyterian by faith and was an avid ClevelandBrowns fan, serving as secretary of the Smithfield Chapter of the"Cleveland Browns Backers."
Sharon is survived by her husband and partner of 23 years, Mark"Freak" Carpenter, her daughter, Jennifer (Justin) Banos ofSmithfield, her brothers, Carl Hunter and Greg (Cindy) Hunter both ofSmithfield, her niece, Casey Hunter, nephews, Chance and AnthonyHunter, sisters-in-law, Diane Self of Louisiana and Pamela (Michael)Reeves of Barnesville.

Mrs. Carpenter retired from Hamilton Beach.
She was a member of the Calais Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter,Carolyn Sue Postelwait; two brothers, Beryl and John Pierce; and twosisters, Connie Pierce and Laurie Stephen.

He was born Sept. 8, 1941, in Monroe County, son of Olive Pierce andthe late Mancel Pierce.  He was an equipment operator for Amco MiningCo. and was a Vietnam veteran.  He was a member of American LegionPost 168 and VFW Post 2792 of Barnesville.
He was preceded in death by a sister.

Herbert (Byrol) Pierce, 59 of Woodsfield, Ohio, died Thursday, Oct.13, 2005 at the Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va. He wasborn Jan. 29, 1946 in Monroe County, a son of the late Manse Pierceand Olive Hayes Pierce.
He was retired from the Monroe County Dept. of Engineers.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Pierce; one sister,Connie Pierce; and one brother-in-law, Charlie Scholsser.
