Laura O. Stephen, 61, of Calais, Ohio died Sunday, January 10, 2010 atThe Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio. She was born June16, 1948 in Calais a daughter of the late Mancel Pierce and OliveHayes Pierce.
Laura was a homemaker and a Methodist.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister,Connie Pierce; and brothers, John and Byrol Pierce.
Surviving are her husband, Charles Stephen; a daughter Connie (Dale)Huntsman of Calais; a son, Charles, Jr. (Jaime) Stephen ofBarnesville, Ohio; grandchildren, Jonathan Huntsman and Olivia andGrace Stephen; brothers and sisters, Roy (Naomi) Pierce of Killbuck,Ohio, Melba (Joe) Carpenter of Calais, Emma Jean Schlosser ofByesville, Ohio, Joe (Vicky) Pierce of Salesville, Ohio.

SUMMERFIELD---Mrs. Nova Iona Pierce Poulton, 52, of Marietta, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday (Nov.. 15, 1980) at Marietta Memorial Hospitalfollowing a long illness.
She was born on July 15, 1928, in Monroe County. She was a homemaker. Her husband, Edmond Poulton, died in 1976.
Mrs. Poulton leaves 11 daughters, Audrey Massey of Cleveland, Margaret Dunkle and Ellen Dunkle of Zanesville, Donna McElfresh of Caldwell R.D. 1, Helen Dennis of Marietta, Sue Blair of Caldwell R.D. 1, Cindy Poland of Byesville, Linda Smithberger of Summerfield R.D. 1, Brendaand Sandy, both of the home, and Judy Blair of Rignett Run;  six sons, Donald and Ronald Poulton of Cleveland, Roy and Roger Poulton, both of Zanesville,  James and Charles both of Zanesville;  30 grandchildren; one great grandchildren;  her mother, Mahala Hill of Summerfield R.D.1;  two half-sisters, Geneva Leasure and Florence Hill, and two half-brothers, Bernard and William Hill.
One son is deceased.

SUMMERFIELD--Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at 1 p.m. atthe Brubach Funeral Home here for Edmond F. Poulton, 57, Sarahsville,R.D. 1, who died at 2 p.m. Sunday (May 30, 1976) of a self-inflictedgunshot wound to the head according to Noble County Coroner Dr.Sherman Smith.  The Rev. Phillip Fair will officiate at the servicesand burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Sarahsville.  Callinghours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Poulton was born March 22, 1919, in Noble County, son of the lateHomer and Margaret Anderson Poulton.

Summerfield - Pvt. Ancil Haga has arrived in England according to wordreceived Saturday by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Haga.

SUMMERFIELD--Ancil W. Haga, 66, of Summerfield, died at 1:11 P.M.Sunday (June 26, 1988) at Guernsey Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Summerfield, son of Erwin (Jake) Haga ofSummit Acres Nursing Hone in Caldwell and the late Ina Richeson Haga.He was a retired electrician,  a U. S Force veteran serving in WorldWar II, member of the American Legion Batesville Post and and a memberof the Barnesville VFW Post.
He was preceded in death by one son Ancil Haga Jr., one daughter, JudyCarpenter, and three brothers.
In addition to his father he leaves his wife, Margaret Poulton Haga ofthe home;  one son Ronnie Haga of Caldwell;  five grandchildren andone great-grandchild.

CANTON---Glenn A. Ralston, 64, of Canton, died Monday morning (Jan.25, 1993) at his home.  He had been a resident of the Canton area forthe past 40 years.
He was born March 7, 1928, at Hendrysburg, son of the late Wayne andJessie Brownfield Ralston.  He retired with 27 years of service fromCentral State Can Co., Canton, was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joy Ellen Ralston.
Mr. Ralston leaves a daughter, Mrs. Michael (Paula) Touseant with whomhe lived;  a sister, Mrs. William (Thala) Phillips of Piedmont;  twobrothers, Clifford Ralston of St. Clairsville and Charles Ralston ofMassillon; and two grandsons.

She was born September 25, 1925, adaughter of the late Everett and Elizabeth Rinker Perkins.  She was amember of Hendrysburg United Methodist Church.  She was preceded indeath by two sisters, Esta and Jane;  a daughter, Nina.

Betty was born June 14, 1934, in Guernsey County, Ohio, a daughter ofLulu Hannahs Wagner and the late Ernest E. Wagner.
Betty graduated from Old Washington High School in 1951, and the GoodSamaritan School of Nursing in 1954; she worked with BarnesvilleHospital for 40 years as a registered nurse; and was a member of theBarnesville Main St. United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Lulu Hannahs Wagner of QuakerCity, Ohio, are her husband, Lloyd Ward; a son, Scott Michael Ward ofOmaha, Neb.; sisters, Shirley M. Watson of Cambridge, Ohio, and LindaL. Stillion of Old Washington, Ohio; a niece, Debbie (Steve)Ensminger; great- nieces, Kristen (Chad) Parker and Kasi Kerns all ofZanesville, Ohio.

Lloyd Ward

WARD, Lloyd, 83, of Barnesville, Ohio, died Friday, January 22, 2010,at Barnesville Hospital.
He was born March 1, 1926, on Salem Ridge, a son of the late JessieHerman Ward and Miriam V. Armstrong Ward.
Lloyd was a retired farmer and worked with the fomer Pomco Company ofBarnesville, Ohio. He shared his Masonic membership with FriendshipLodge of Barnesville, and Kirkwood Lodge of Hendrysburg; he attendedthe Barnesville First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his firstwife, Betty J. Wagner Ward; and a brother, Kenneth Ward.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Garrett Ward; a son, Scott M. Ward ofOmaha, Neb.; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Jo Crawford.

He was a member of the First Christian Church and BPOE #1699.  He wasa former employee of J. Howell Machine Shop.
He was preceded in death by his sister - Nancy E. Crawford and a niece- Tammy Crawford.
Surviving are 2  sons - Mark H. Hannahs and Nathan D. Hannahs ofBarnesville; 3 daughters - Marna M. Hannahs (Barry Dooley) ofMontvale, VA, Michelle L. He was preceded in death by four sisters,  Elizabeth Krause,  IreneOrahoske,  Mary Dedich and Margaret Ross and a brother, MichaelOrahoske.
