James A. Albaugh

James Albert Albaugh, 53, of Cambridge, died Thursday (Jan. 1, 1998)at his home.
He was born Sept. 4, 1944, in Barnesville, son of the late Charles andMary Anna Logan Albaugh.
Mr. Albaugh was a retired employee of Evergreen Village. He was amember of Grace Baptist Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher,a deacon and lay minster.
He was preceded in death by a son, Dean Albaugh, in Sept. 1984; abrother, Nelson Dwight Albaugh.
He leaves his wife, Malinda Bunfill Albaugh of the home, whom hemarried Sept. 22, 1963; two sons and daughter-in-law, Keith andChristine Albaugh of Cambridge and James D. Albaugh of Columbus; threebrothers, William Albaugh of Zanesville, Roger Albaugh of Midland,Texas, and Robert Albaugh of Columbus; five grandchildren, Angel Packand Kayla, Cameron, Michael and Michael; a step-grandson, DevonAlfman; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday at Thorn FuneralHome, where services will be 1 P.M. Monday with Pastor Fred Barrettofficiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.  Friday 2 Jan. 1998Cambridge Jeffersonian Cambridge Ohio.

Dean E. Albaugh, 20 , of 215 S 11th St, died Friday (Sept 28, 1984) inan automobile accident on Route 658.
He was born July 24, 1964, in Akron, son of James and Melinda BunfillAlbaugh of Cambridge.
A former employee of the Daily Jeffersonian, he attended Grace BaptistChurch in Cambridge and was a 1983 graduate of Cambridge High School.
In addition to his parents, he leaves two bothers, James and Keith,both of the home; grandparents, Charles and Mary Albaugh of Cambridge;several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding hin in death were granparents, Herbert and Burnetta Bunfill.
Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Thorn Funeral Home, whereservices will be at 1 p.m. Monday with Pastor Fred Barrettofficiating.  Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.

Patty Jo Veselenak, 62, of Cambridge, died Thursday (Nov. 15, 2012) atSummit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell, after a lengthy battle withAlzheimer's.
She was born Sept. 2, 1950, in West Virginia, daughter of the lateRobert Henderson and Helen (Carpenter) Henderson.
Mrs. Veselenak worked at Byesville Aseptics in quality control.
She was Russian Orthodox by faith.  She is survived by her husband,Ronald L. Veselenak, whom she married Aug. 1, 1970; a son, Ronald L.Veselenak II of Galveston, Texas; a sister, Judy (Steve) McJessy ofBuffalo; and a half-brother, John Crabtree of Cambridge.
No calling hours will be observed. No funeral services will be held atthis time.

He was born Feb. 17, 1963, in Barnesville, son of Jimmy and Sue HallCarpenter of Barnesville.
He was a mechanic for Lashley Tractor Sales, a 1981 graduate ofBarnesville High School and a 1985 graduate of Belmont TechnicalCollege.
He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and F.O.E.Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harold Carpenter.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his wife, Rola A. PerryCarpenter; his maternal grandparent, Rolland and Helen Hall ofBarnesville; two brothers, Mark Carpenter of Summersville, W.Va., andDave Carpenter of Old Washington; his father and mother-in-law, Daleand Donna Perry of Quaker City; several aunts and uncles; a niece andseveral nephews.

Gervis Hayes

SUMMERFIELD -- Gervis L. Hayes, 74, of Quaker City, (CalaisCommunity), passed away Saturday (Feb. 9, 2013) in the BarnesvilleHospital in Barnesville.
He was born near Calais on May 18, 1938, a son of the late Allen C.Hayes and Amelia Stephen Hayes.
Gervis was a retired operator for Shelley and Sands Contracting,Zanesville. He was a life member of the Ohio Operating Engineers,Local 18, Akron; a protestant by faith; a social member of the VFW,American Legion, Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Loyal Order of theMoose all of Barnesville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters,Geneva Leasure and Almeta Morris; and a brother, Kenneth Hayes.
Surviving are his wife, Genevra Carpenter Hayes, whom he married onJune 14, 1958; four daughter, Sharon (Timothy) Snyder of Summerfield,Cathy (Darryl) Nalley of Calais,Carrie Heath of Woodsfield, SheilaWhiteley and her companion, Brent Lumbatis of Summerfield; one sister,Gertrude Brown of Barnesville; seven grandchildren, Bradley Snyder,Peggy Pitts, Ricks Hayes, Stephen Heath, Ryan Nalley, Jeremy Whiteleyand Jared Lumbatis; two great-grandchildren, Brody and Khloe Pitts;and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Brubach-Watters Funeral Home, 202 MainSt., Summerfield, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, where funeral serviceswill be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Fred McGee officiating.
Burial will follow in the Calais Cemetery, Calais.

Linda L. Baker Carpenter, age 65, of Marietta, Ohio passed away FridayJanuary 10, 2014 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.  She was born inWoodsfield, Ohio November 17, 1948 a daughter of the late Ralph LeeBaker and Dorothy Irene Baker.
She was employed in telecommunications at Marietta Memorial Hospitaland was Catholic by Faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters;Deborah Sandy and Marsha Jo Baker.
She is survived by two sons; Scott Carpenter of Marietta, and BrentCarpenter of Dublin, Ohio, two brothers; Jimmy Ray (Mary Lou) Claybornof Rudy, Arkansas, Ralph E. (Bernice) Baker of New Martinsville, WestVirginia, sisters; Shirley Roberts of West Virginia, Charlotte (Clyde)Dobbin of Woodsfield, and Donna (Vernon) Estadt of Caldwell, Ohio,several nieces and nephews.
