BARNESVILLE -- Darlene K. Starr, 66, Temperanceville, died Nov. 8,2010, at home. She was born Oct. 25, 1944, at Calais, daughter of thelate Richard and Shirley (Hayes) Delong. She was preceded in death bya brother, Lonnie Delong. Surviving are her husband, Louis; son,Charles (Regina) Starr of Temperanceville; daughter, Tamela Starr ofTemperanceville; brothers, Joseph Delong of Caldwell and Charles(Kris) Delong of Lewisville; two sisters, Mary Ann Delong of Enon andJosie (Wayne) Back of Temperanceville; grandchildren, Amanda, Brandn,Joshua and Dustin; and great-grandchildren, Cayden, Evan and Jade.Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday with servicesat 11 a.m. Friday at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 N.Chestnut St., Barnesville, with the Rev. SUMMERFIELD--Funeral services for Home Neil Carpenter, 34, ZanesvilleR.D. 7, native of Monroe County, will be at 2 P.M. Saturday at CalaisUnited Methodist Church, with the Rev. Glenn Saunders officiating.
Burial will be in Calais Cemetery with full military rites conductedby Summerfield American Legion Post.
An employee of McGraw-Edison Corp. and part-time student at OhioUniversity, Zanesville campus, he died at 4 P.M. Wednesday (Aug. 16,1972) at Bethesda Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 19, 1937 in Monroe County, the son of Robert andSally Keylor Carpenter, Caldwell.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his wife, the former SusanClark:  one son Neil;  one sister, Mrs. Alice Warner, Summerfield R.D.1 and one brother, Clesson Carpenter, Caldwell R.D. 1.

CALDWELL---Susan Wheeler, 63, of Caldwell died Tuesday (March 25,2003) at Genesis Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville.
She was born March 23, 1940, Noble County to William and Zella ShakleeClark.  She graduated from Sarahsville High at Sarahsville.  She was ahomemaker.
She is survived by one son,  Neil and his wife, Annette of Zanesville;one brother, William Clark and his wife, Mary, of East Union;  foursisters, Cindy Bates and her husband, Dave of Lancaster,  MargaretHennen of Virginia Beach,  Karen Smithberger of East Union and TeresaKinna and her husband, Larry, of Cambridge;  two grandchildren andnumerous nieces,  nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her first husband,  Homer Neil Carpenter,in 1972;  her second husband; Bertram Wheeler in 1991 and her parents.

SUMMERFIELD - Melody Ann “Mel” Warner, 56, of Summerfield, died Monday(Jan. 4, 2010) at Southeastern Med in Cambridge.
She was born Nov. 24, 1953, in Barnesville, daughter of the late AllenBurdette “Smucker” Carpenter and Leah Louisa Leach Carpenter.
Mrs. Warner was a dietary aide at Summit Acres Nursing Home, Caldwell.
She was a member of American Legion Post 415, Ladies Auxiliary,Summerfield, and was a committee member for Noble County Relay forLife.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jason Hines; and a sister,Marsha Lynn Baker.
She leaves her husband, Frank Warner; a son, John Hines and hisfiancée, Danelle Roe of Barnesville; a daughter, Shasta (Chris) McKeeof Caldwell; three brothers, Lloyd (Peggy) Carpenter of Summerfield,Mickey (Diane) Carpenter of Summerfield and Jeffery (Marcia) Carpenterof Sarahsville; a sister, Linda (Bill) Warner of Summerfield; fourgrandchildren, Justice Hines, Santana Hines, Colton Hines and AbbyMcKee.

Mr. and Mrs. Burdette Carpenter,  of Summerfield Route 2 are theparents of a son born Monday,  October 22nd in the BarnesvilleHospital.  The new arrival weighed 8 pounds, 6 1/2 ounces and has beennamed Mickey Maurice.  Mrs. Carpenter is the former Miss Leah Leach.The grandmothers are Mrs. Versa Leach,  of Temperanceville and Mrs.Alice Carpenter of Summerfield.  The great-grandfather is Samuel Leachof Quaker City Route.   Monday 5 Nov. 1956 Monroe County BeaconWoodsfield Ohio.

SUMMERFIELD - Mickey M. Carpenter, 54, of 614 Cross St., Summerfield,Ohio, died Tuesday (July 19, 2011) upon arrival at the SoutheasternOhio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge, Ohio.
He was born at Barnesville, Ohio, on Oct. 22, 1956, a son of the lateAllen Burdette "Smucker" and Leah Louisa Leach Carpenter.
Mick was a truck driver for G-R Contracting (Gary Rubel) with 28 yearsof service; a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Carlisle, Ohiowhere he was a member of the Holy Name Society, and was a member ofthe Summerfield Volunteer Fire Dept., Summerfield, Ohio.
He enjoyed spoiling his grandson, Jerrason Joseph "Huck" Harmon,traveling with his wife to the Amish country and Walt Disneyvacations, and spending quality time with his daughters andson-in-law. Everyone in his family was very special to him in theirown way.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters,Melody Ann Warner and Marsha Lynn Baker; two nephews, Rick Dimmerlingand Jason Hines; and one great-nephew, Tyler Carpenter Cobb.
Surviving are his wife, Diane C. Thompson Carpenter, whom he marriedon June 17, 1978; two daughters, Akerrius Dee "Kerri" (Jason Joseph)Harmon of Caldwell, Ohio, Annika Nicole (Nikki) Carpenter of the home;two brothers, Lloyd (Peggy) Carpenter of Summerfield, Ohio, Jeffery(Marcia) Carpenter of Sarahsville, Ohio; one sister, Linda (Bill)Warner of Summerfield, Ohio; two brothers-in-law, Virgil (Jane)Thompson, Frank Warner, both of Summerfield, Ohio; one sister-in-law,Darlene (Marvin) Dimmerling of Summerfield, Ohio; 24 nieces andnephews; 53 great-nieces and nephew; two great-great-nieces, whom heloved very much.

She was a homemaker and had attended Belmont Technical College, St.Clairsville.  She was a member of Calais Church.
In addition to her parents, she leaves a son, Jeremy David Baker ofthe home;  two daughters,  Jodie Ann Baker of the home,  and Mrs.Brain (Karen) Lynn Back, of Temperanceville;  two sisters, LindaWarner and Melody Warner both of Summerfield;  three brothers, Lloydand Mick Carpenter, both of Summerfield, and Jeffery Carpenter ofSarahsville;  two granddaughters;  several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Delong was born, Oct. 16, 1952 in Cambridge, son of MargaretCarpenter Delong of Summerfield and the late Cletis Delong.  He was agrade foreman for Holloway Construction Co. in Powhatan Point and wasa member of the Calais Church in Calais.

LEWISVILLE ? Rhoda D. Carpenter, 47, of Lewisville, Ohio, died Tuesday(Nov. 27, 2007) at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Shecourageously battled breast cancer for five years.
She was born March 15, 1960, in Cambridge, Ohio, daughter of the lateCletis and Margaret Carpenter Delong. She was a 1978 graduate ofShenandoah High School, Sarahsville, where she was a member of theZeps Marching Band and the drama club. She also graduated as alicensed practical nurse from Belmont Technical College and receivedher registered nurse degree from Regents University in New York. Shehad been employed as an RN by SEORMC in Cambridge, Marietta MemorialHospital, and she worked in various programs at the Noble CountyHealth Department, with the most recent being case manager for theBreast and Cervical Cancer Project. She was a member of the AmericanQuarter Horse Association, and a former board member of theAppalachian Quarter Horse Association. She was a member of FaithBaptist Church in Belle Valley.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother,Sam Delong; and one nephew, Jamey Hall.
Surviving are her husband, Mark Carpenter, whom she married Oct. 10,1987; one son, Damen Carpenter, and one daughter, Alex Carpenter, bothof the home; two sisters, Kay (Fred) Housley of Wolf Run and Becky(Steve) Hall of Summerfield; one brother, Dan (Sandy) Delong ofQueensland, Australia; and several nieces and nephews, including JodiHall of Bay Village and Keith Delong, RN, of Lexington, Ky., whoprovided many hours of loving care.
