SUMMERFIELD -- Myra J. Dailey, 81, of Summerfield, died Wednesday(April 20, 2011) at Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta.
She was born May 25, 1929, near Calais, daughter of the late Frank andIldrith Carpenter Coultas.
Mrs. Dailey was a retired hairdresser and a former employee ofHamilton-Beach Co., Byesville, and the Food Center, Caldwell.
She was a member of Summerfield Church of Christ, Summerfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,John W. Dailey, on Sept. 30, 1980; a son, Steve Dailey; and an infantsister, Winefred Coultas.
She leaves two daughters, Renea (Mike) Campbell and Lisa Lynn, both ofSummerfield; a son, Allen (Tina) Dailey of Summerfield; 12grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces andnephews.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturdayat Brubach-Watters Funeral Home, 202 Main St., Summerfield. Frank Lovewill officiate the service.
Interment will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Summerfield.


John William Dailey

SUMMERFIELD---John William Dailey, 55, of Cross Street, Summerfield,was killed Saturday in a tractor accident at his farm nearSummerfield.
He was born April 8, 1925, in Noble County, son of Mrs. HazelCarpenter Dailey and the late Charles Dailey.  He was a farmer and hadbeen Star Route mail carrier for 13 years.
He leaves his wife, Myra Coultas Dailey;  two daughters, Mrs. Mike(Renea) Campbell of Summerfield and Mrs. Mark (Lisa) Long ofSalesville; two sons, Stephen and Allen, both of the home;  fivesisters,  Betty Wise and Mary Belle Larrick, both of Summerfield,Wanda Leach of Quaker City R.D. 1, Virginia Tucker of Carlwick and IlaHardesty of Belpre;  and two grandchildren.  One brother Herzel isdeceased.
Friends may call today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at Brubach FuneralHome, Summerfield.  The body will be taken to the Church of Christ,Summerfield, one hour prior to the services at 1 P.M. Tuesday.Evangelist Michael Davis will officiate.  Burial will be in EasternCemetery, Summerfield.  15 Sept. 1980 Cambridge Jeffersonian.


Rhoda D. Delong

LEWISVILLE ? Rhoda D. Carpenter, 47, of Lewisville, Ohio, died Tuesday(Nov. 27, 2007) at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Shecourageously battled breast cancer for five years.
She was born March 15, 1960, in Cambridge, Ohio, daughter of the lateCletis and Margaret Carpenter Delong. She was a 1978 graduate ofShenandoah High School, Sarahsville, where she was a member of theZeps Marching Band and the drama club. She also graduated as alicensed practical nurse from Belmont Technical College and receivedher registered nurse degree from Regents University in New York. Shehad been employed as an RN by SEORMC in Cambridge, Marietta MemorialHospital, and she worked in various programs at the Noble CountyHealth Department, with the most recent being case manager for theBreast and Cervical Cancer Project. She was a member of the AmericanQuarter Horse Association, and a former board member of theAppalachian Quarter Horse Association. She was a member of FaithBaptist Church in Belle Valley.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother,Sam Delong; and one nephew, Jamey Hall.
Surviving are her husband, Mark Carpenter, whom she married Oct. 10,1987; one son, Damen Carpenter, and one daughter, Alex Carpenter, bothof the home; two sisters, Kay (Fred) Housley of Wolf Run and Becky(Steve) Hall of Summerfield; one brother, Dan (Sandy) Delong ofQueensland, Australia; and several nieces and nephews, including JodiHall of Bay Village and Keith Delong, RN, of Lexington, Ky., whoprovided many hours of loving care.
Friends may call from 2 to 9 P.M. Thursday at McVay-Perkins FuneralHome, 416 East St., Caldwell. The funeral service will be held at 11A.M.
