3094. William Andrew Leach

CLAYHATCHER, ALA----Word had been received of the death of WilliamAndrew Leach, 52, of Clayhatcher, Ala.,  who died Feb. 15, 1984 atFort Rucker Army Hospital after an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Leach was born June 1, 1931, near Salesville, son of SylvianForaker and the late William B. Leach.
He was a retired 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his mother,  he leaves his wife,  Lousie;  hisstep-father, Vernon Foraker;  three sons,  David and Dan, both ofBarnesville and Kenneth of Arkansas;  two daughters,  Theresa and HopeLeach,  both of the home;  two brothers,  Bob Leach of Midwest City,Okla., and Jim Leach of Cambridge;  two sisters,  Leona Yansoik andLeola Giesey of Quaker City;  a step-brother, Robert Yaw of Leon,Iowa;  two granddaughters.
Full Military honors were observed.  Searcy Funeral Home, Enterprise,Ala., was in charge of arrangements.  Burial was in Salem Cemetery,Jackson County, FL.  Wed 7 March 1984 Cambridge Jeffersonian.

FT. RUCKER, ALA--Sergeant First Class William A. Leach, son of Mrs.Sylvia L. Yaw, Quaker City, received his second award of the ArmyCommendation Medal late last month at Ft. Rucker, Ala., uponretirement from the Army after more than twenty years of service.
Sgt. Leach received the award for meritorious service during his lastassignment as senior instructor and noncommissioned officer in chargeof testing activities conducted by the Multi-Engine Branch Fixed WingDivision Department of Maintenance Training, U.S. Army AviationSchool.
He entered the Army in July 1948 and completed basic training at Ft.Dix, N.J.  He also received a certificate of appreciation.   Friday 7Feb. 1969 Quaker City Home Towner.

LEACH Robert Bryan, 64, of Del City, passed away Nov. 5, 2001. He wasborn July 26, 1937, to Mr & Mrs. William Leach, in Guernsey County,Ohio. He came to Oklahoma in the early 1960's at Tinker A.F.B., alsohaving lived in Tennessee, Arkansas, & England. Robert was a member ofthe American Legion Post 170, V.F.W., Elks Club, & enjoyed horseracing, football, baseball, & fishing. Bob had a great love forAmerican Legion baseball & had worked with Post 170 in MWC for over 20years. He was so proud of their trip to the World Series this year inWashington. Though his health was failing, he would travel out towatch them play. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy LaQuieta Leach ofDel City; sons, John Daniel Leach of Piedmont & Robert Henry Witt ofOkla. City; daughters, Robin Sue Leach of Midwest City & Tammy Jowersof Guthrie; grandchildren, Heather, Teri Jo, Chris, Corey, Robbie,Brittany, Rory, & Nate, all of the metro area; & great granddaughterJarica; brother, Jim Leach & sister, Leola Giesey, both of GuernseyCounty, Ohio. He was preceded in death by brother, Bill, sister,Leona, mother, Sylvia, & 1st wife, Carmen. OKLAHOMA CITY,  OK---Word had been received of the death of CarmenLeach 55, of Midwest City, OK., who died Friday (Jan. 6, 1995) atMidwest City Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 5, 1939 at Oklahoma City,  daughter of the lateWalter E. and Dorthothy Louise Carr.  She was a bartender for theMidwest City American Legion.
Mrs. Leach leaves her husband,  Robert Leach;  a son John Leach ofPiedmont;  a daughter,  Robin Leach, and a brother, Dean Carr, both ofOklahoma City.
Services will be 10 A.M. Monday at Eisenhauer Bill Funeral Home,  5005SE 29th St.  Oklahoma City. OK.  Barnesville Enterprise


3097. James Everett Leach

James E. “Jim” Leach, 65, of Cambridge, died Saturday (March 13, 2010)at Southeastern Med.
He was born April 13, 1944, in Quaker City, son of the late Williamand Sylvia (Carpenter) Leach.
Mr. Leach was a carpenter by trade. He raised deer and was an avidhunter.
He was always available to friends in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William andRobert Leach; and a sister, Leona Yanosik.
He leaves a daughter, Misty Black of New Concord; a sister, LeolaGiesey of Quaker City; a stepbrother, Robert Yaw of Iowa; agranddaughter, Chloe; former spouse, Rachel Reichert of New Concord;and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Thorn-Black FuneralHome, Cambridge, where services will follow at noon. Burial will be inNorthwood Cemetery.

3098. Lenoa "Jackie" Leach

QUAKER CITY----Leona "Jackie"  Lorraine Yanosik, 69, of Quaker City,died Wednesday (Dec. 8, 1999) at her home.
She was born March 19, 1930 at Salesville,  daughter of SylviaCarpenter Leach Foraker of Quaker City and the late William Leach.
Mrs. Yanosik worked for 29 years as a supervisor at Cambridge StateHospital.  She was a member of the Central Christian Church of QuakerCity and a 1948 graduate of Quaker City High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Yansoik in October 1995.Also deceased are a son Everett C. "Peep" Wehr and a brother BillLeach.
Mrs. Yansoik leaves a son, Kevin (Laura) Wehr of Quaker City;  adaughter, LouAnn Leach of Quaker City;  two brothers, Robert(Lequitta) of Dell City, Okla., and Jim (Rachel) Leach of Cambridge; asister Mrs. Leola (Dick) Gisesy of Quaker City;  five grandchildren,Kalib, Shana, Timothy, Rachel and Jennifer.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at Thorn-BlackFuneral Home, Quaker City,  where services will be 10:30 A.M.Saturday.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Quaker City.  Thursday 9 Dec.1999 Jeffersonian.


Joseph Yanosik

QUAKER CITY--Joseph Yanosik, 74, of Bell Nursing Home, Kimbolton,formerly of Salesville, died Monday (Oct. 16, 1995) at SoutheasternOhio Regional Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 16, 1921, in Sencaville, son of the late Mike andAnna Smee Yanosik.  He was a coal miner and member of the VFW Post atKipling.  He was also a member of Barnesville Moose Lodge 1304 and heattended Christ the Savior Orthodox Church, Byesville.  He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Yanosik in 1968.  Alsoa brother is deceased.
He leaves a brother Elmer Yanosik of Salesville;  a sister-in-law,Alberta Yanosik of Quaker City;  two nieces, Shirley Marlene Lippertof Salesville and Florence Ann Crawford of Coshocton.
No calling were observed, graveside services were conducted at 10:30A.M. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville, with Pastor JohnKimbler officiating.  Military graveside services were conducted byGuernsey County Veterans Council.  Thorn-Eberle Funeral Home, QuakerCity, was in charge of arrangements.  Burial was in GreenwoodCemetery.  Wed. 18 Oct. 1995 Jeffersonian.
