LEWISVILLE - Krista Lynn Ackerman, 16, of 32778 Skin Creek Road diedFriday (Feb. 14, 2003) at her home. She was born April 3, 1986, inCambridge to Junior and Sheila McVicker Ackerman. She was a junior atMonroe Central High School near Woodsfield, where she was a member ofthe Teen Institute, yearbook staff, ski club and was also an honorstudent.  Krista died immediately from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
She attended the Calais Church at Calais and had accepted the Lord atan early age.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sisters, BrittanyAckerman at home, Stacey Buzzard of Zanesville and Melissa Cecil ofWoodsfield; paternal grandparents, Edward and Beula Ackerman ofLewisville; maternal grandparents, Billy McVicker of Quaker City andClarice McVicker of Cambridge; one niece, Courtne Buzzard ofZanesville; three nephews, Josiah Buzzard and Micah Buzzard, both ofZanesville, and Cody Cecil of Woodsfield; and several aunts, unclesand cousins.
Services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfieldwith Pastor James Brown officiating. Burial is in Middle ChurchCemetery near
Lewisville. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at thefuneral home.

ZANESVILLE: Josephine I. Ayers, 80, of Zanesville, Ohio passed awayThursday, October 10, 2013 at the Willow Haven Nursing Home,Zanesville, Ohio. She was born near Summerfield, Ohio on April 5, 1933a daughter of the late Otis and Lola Morris Martin.
Josephine was a retired assembler for the Lear Corporation,Zanesville, Ohio and was a home health care aide for 15 years. She wasa Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by threedaughters, Barbara Bates, Colene Stephen, and Lola Jo Ayers; onebrother, Kenneth Martin; and one grandson, Jason Curry.
Surviving are one daughter, Karen (Samuel) Swain of Zanesville, Ohio;three brothers, Roger Martin of Caldwell, Ohio, Jerry Martin ofCaldwell, Ohio, and Terry Martin of Leesburg, Florida; two sisters,Verna Brown of Caldwell, Ohio, and Nancy Perkins of Westerville, Ohio;four grandchildren, Chad (Bobbie) Curry of Millersburg, Ohio, Steve(Shelley) Grubb of Sarahsville, Ohio, Shay (Chad) Gonzales ofZanesville, Ohio, and Quay (Hayley) Devoll of Zanesville, Ohio; eightgreat grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; several aunts anduncles; and two special friends, Troy Reed, and Karen Nelson both ofZanesville, Ohio.
Friends will be received at the Brubach-Watters Funeral Home, 202 MainStreet, Summerfield, Ohio from 4-8p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013 wherefuneral services will be held at 1p.m. Monday, October 14, 2013 withFrank Love officiating. Burial will follow in the Eastern Cemetery,Summerfield, Ohio.

He was born near Calais, Ohio on March 19, 1941 a son of Grace MorrisHannahs who survives of Quaker City, Ohio and the late Samuel VernonHannahs.
He was a farmer; a former substitute mail carrier in Senecaville,Ohio; a former employee of Western Electric, Columbus, Ohio; a formerschool bus driver in the Noble Local School District and was a formerMarion Township Trustee in Noble County. Brice was a member of theSummerfield Church of Christ, Summerfield, Ohio.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother,Marion Hannahs.
Surviving are his wife, Norma Bates Hannahs whom he married on July22, 1962; three sons: Craig Hannahs of Marietta, Ohio, Chris Hannahsof Summerfield, Ohio and Doug (Beth) Hannahs of Summerfield, Ohio; twobrothers: Eugene (Patty) Hannahs of Springfield, Ohio and BradleyHannahs of Summerfield, Ohio; three sisters: Jenene Bennett ofZanesville, Ohio, Rosalie Bausch of Columbus, Ohio and Kathy Hannahsof Columbus, Ohio; one sister-in-law: Connie Hannahs of Lewisville,Ohio; five grandchildren: Daniel, Mathew, Steven, Clay and GracieHannahs; one great grandson: Bryce Hannahs; several nieces andnephews.

She was born in Noble County Feb. 28, 1946, the daughter of EdisonSchaffer and Mrs. Mabel Hilton. She married Bradley Hannahs in March1965 and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Hannahs leaves, in addition to her parents and her husband, twochildren; Tammy and Tracy, both of the home; two sisters, Jane Rich ofSenecaville and Lou Ellen Brewster of Zanesville, and one brotherKenneth Schaffer, Sarahsville.

John A. Carpenter, gave his life to Christ, 50 of Byesville, passedaway May 18, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Aug. 18, 1961, in Barnesville, son of the late HermanN. and Martha L. (Secrest) Carpenter.
Also preceding him in death was two sisters, Linda Colvin and LeonaCarpenter.
Mr. Carpenter worked in the oil fields as a driller, he loved fishing,his dogs and NASCAR.
He is survived by his companion, Christi Stacy of the home; a son,Michael (Belinda) Carpenter of Dillonvale; a daughter, Brittany Stacyof Byesville; two grandchildren, Damon and Dominic Carpenter; asister, Judy (Fred) Peters of Barnesville; and a brother, JoeCarpenter of Byesville.
Calling hours will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bundy-Law FuneralHome, Cambridge, where services will follow at 2.
Burial will take place at a later date.
