3408. Shelley D. Carpenter

Graveside services and burial will be 2 P.M. Friday at FriendsCemetery, Quaker City, for Shelley Denise (Carpenter) Hammonds, 36, ofNew Concord, who died Tuesday (Nov. 2, 2004) at her home from naturalcauses.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. today (Thursday) at Thorn-BlackFuneral Home, Cambridge.
She was born Dec. 18, 1967, in Cambridge, daughter of Kenneth andConnie (Winland) Carpenter of Cambridge.
Ms. Hammonds was an employee of Kmart, Cambridge, where she worked invarious offices, including the payroll department and other phases ofthe store operators.
She dearly loved her sons and was a loving daughter.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Misty Rae Carpenter andmaternal grandfather, Everett A.E. Windland.
She leaves two sons, Kyle E. Hammonds, and Jess B. Hammonds, both NewConcord; and maternal grandmother, Roberta G. Windland of Cambridge.4 Nov. 2004 Jeffersonian.


3423. Tracey A. Lashley

Word had been received of the death of Tracey A. Lashley, 40, ofGlenmont,  who died Friday (March 14, 2003) at Pomerene Hospital inMillersburg,  following a brief illness.
She was born July 15, 1962, in Cambridge,  daughter of Mrs. John (SueHannahs Lashley) Landon of Killbuck and the late Herschel Lashley.
She was preceded in death by a daughter,  Bersa McCombs;grandparents, Icel and Wilbur Lashley and Roy and Juanita Hannahs.
She leaves a daughter,  Mrs. Ed (Blair) McCombs of Wootser;  agranddaughter,  Kadence Howell of Wooster;  paternal step-grandmother,Elsie Lashley of Quaker City;  her former husband,  Matt Umstead ofHolmesville;  a brother,  Jeff (Kari) Lashley of Gahanna;  twosisters,  Teresa Lashley of Killbuck and Tami Bergen of Millersburg;a step-sister,  Denise Landon of Glenmont and two nieces and a nephew.
Services took place Monday (March 17) at Alexander Funeral Home,Millersburg.  Burial followed at Killbuck Cemetery.  20 March 2003Cambridge Jeffersonian Cambridge Ohio.


4268. Bresa Umstead

KILLBUCK---Bresa F. McCombs, 21, of Killbuck, died Saturday (March 20,1999) from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
She was born Dec. 20, 1977, in Millersburg, Holmes County,  daughterof Tracey (Robbie) Fortune of Millersburg and Craig (Tracy) McCombs ofKillbuck.
Miss McCombs had attended West Holmes High School,  where she wasactive in cheerleading and dance.  She had won many awards.  Sheattended Killbuck Valley Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather,  HershalLashley;  maternal great-grandfather, Wilbur Lashley and Roy Hannahs.
She leaves a sister,  Blair McCombs of Millersburg;  step-brothers,Zaccary Patterson, Robbie Fortune;  a step-sister,  Cassy Patterson;maternal grandmother, Sue Landon of Killbuck;  step-grandfather JohnLandon of Killbuck;  paternal grandmother,  Mary McCombs of Stillwell;step-grandfather, Walter Wilhelm of North Fairfield;  maternalgreat-grandmother,  Juanita Hannahs of Salesville;  maternalstep-grand-grandmother, Elsie Lashley of Quaker City;  several aunts,uncles and cousins of Holmes, Guernsey, Noble, Franklin and Belmontcounties;  her fiance Mike Fowler of Big Prairie;  and many friendsall will miss her.
Services were March 24 at Killbuck Valley Christain Church.  The Rev.Dale Duncan officiated.  Burial was in Killbuck Cemetery.


3426. Tamara Sue Lashley

Tamara S. Bergen, 49, of Columbus, formerly of Killbuck, passed awayMay 31, 2010 at University Hospital East, Columbus, with her daughterat her side.
She was born Nov. 3, 1960, in Cambridge, the daughter of Herschel andCarolyn (Hannahs) Lashley, and married Ron Bergen. He preceded her indeath April 11, 1999.
Surviving are a daughter, Casey Jo Bergen (Tim) of Killbuck;grandchildren, Ciela Kim, Philip Ronald, and Tierra Sue, of Killbuck;her mother and stepfather, Sue and John Landon of Killbuck; a brother,Jeff (Kari) Lashley of Gahanna; a sister, Teresa Lashley of Killbuck;nieces and nephew, Blair McCombs, Justin  and Kristin Lashley;great-nieces, Kadence and Kenna Howell; a stepbrother, Jack P. (Bobbi)Landon and children of Glenmont; a stepsister, Denise (Bruce) Holcomband children of Killbuck; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and manyloving friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Herschel; a sister, Tracey; aniece, Bresa; and her grandparents.
A memorial graveside service will be 1 p.m.  Saturday, June 12 in theOakhill Cemetery in Killbuck, with Pastor Woody Hager officiating.There will be no calling hours.
