A native of Baton Rouge and a resident of St. Amant, he passed away at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital on Monday, November 24, 2014.
He was 58 years old and a retired crane operator for Deep South Crane and Rigging. Visitation will be held at The Venue, 13475 Highway 431, St. Amant, LA 70774, from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
Visitation will resume at The Venue at 9:00am until funeral service at 11:00am on Friday, November 28, 2014.
Interment will be at Hope Haven Garden of Memory in Prairieville. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Furlow Carpenter; son, J. Matthew Carpenter; father, C.D. Carpenter, Jr.; brothers, Rodney Tate, Neil Carpenter & wife Heather, and Jonathon Carpenter; nephews, Cameron and Jake Carpenter; niece, Charlotte Carpenter; and special children in his life, Conner, Lainey, Lexie, and Addie.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Nickens Carpenter.

Cally Dalton Carpenter III was the only child of of Cally Dalton Carpenter Jr. (1932-2017) and Audrey Mae Wascom (1936-2015). His parents divorced and his father married Judy Fay Nickens (1942-2009).  His father and stepmother then had Neil Joseph Carpenter (1970) and Jonathan Paul (1981).


Michael Richard Walker

Michael Richard "Mike" Walker passed away on Monday, October 1, 2018 at his home in Grangeville at the age of 64. He was a Heavy Equipment Mechanic and was a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran. Visitation will be held at Grangeville Baptist Church, 3599 LA Hwy. 63, Pine Grove, LA 70453 on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 9:00 AM until religious services at 11:00: AM conducted by Pastor Mike Cotton and Chaplain John Cook. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife Judith Raye Carpenter Walker; 3 daughters, Jennie Walker and wife Sarah, Laurie Walker and Fiance' Cody Jackson and Christy Walker; son, Benjamin Chambers and wife Megan; sisters, Janice Cook and husband Louis, Marsha Baumann and Patricia "P- Brat" Bryant; brother, Jimmie Stevens; mother-in-law, Flora Fletcher and husband William; 5 grandchildren, Krista and husband Blaine, Kristen and Fiance' Justin, Shane, Wesson and Emmalyn; one great-grandchild on the way, Zayd Michael; Best Friend, Robert Hoppe; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Billy James and Donna June Stevens Walker; son, Shane Hebert; father-in-law, Glynn Carpenter, Sr. Pallbearers will be Robert Hoppe, Dustin Bryant, Matt Baumann, Benjamin Chambers, Glynn Carpenter, Jr. and Chris Cavalier. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Breaud, Kenny Carpenter and Sarah Simmerman.He was a member of Grangeville Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Grangeville Baptist Church, 3599 LA Hwy. 63, Pine Grove, LA 70453. Church Funeral Services in Walker is in charge of arrangements.
