Bio: Nettie Louise "Jennie" (Nelson) Carpenter Dewberry was born on June 4, 1895, in Kentucky, to Hiram Taylor Nelson and Sallie Williams.She was married twice; first, about 1912 to Jesse James Carpenter (1893-1917), the son of Samuel Martin Carpenter, Sr. and Molly Wilkins; and second, in Montgomery County, Tennessee, on 16 February 1921, to Millard Sanford "Pat" Dewberry (1895-1982), the son of David Alexander Dewberry, Sr., and Ollie Elizabeth Owen. Along with her surviving children, she also had several infants and children that did not survive to adulthood. Jennie passed away on October 22, 1977 and is buried in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
