Death: 15 Mar 1930 (aged 66) Arcadia, Crawford County, Kansas, USA
Burial: Shiloh Cemetery, Liberal, Barton County, Missouri, USA

Bio:
Arcadia Journal March 21, 1930:
Dead -- Austin Carpenter died at his home northeast of Arcadia, on Saturday, March 15 at the age of nearly 67.
He had been ill some weeks ago but had recovered enough to move about.  Saturday night he retired about 8:00 o'clock and fell asleep in a natural manner.  An hour later he passed away without awakening and without a struggle.  It is supposed that death was due to heart trouble.
Funeral services in charge of Rev. Harryman were held from the residence on March 18th.
Interment at Shiloh.
Mr. Carpenter was a useful citizen and enjoyed the highest respect of all who knew him.
Survived by the widow and several children, all of whom are grown.
