Bio: Elizabeth Virginia Carpenter Jackson, 100, widow of Claude Bunion Jackson, passed away February 12, 2017 at Golden Age of Inman.A native of Spartanburg County, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Lena Simpson Carpenter, a homemaker and of the Christian faith. Elizabeth enjoyed the many flowers she took pride in growing in her yard. Surviving are one brother, Rev. Alfred Carpenter of Virginia; six sisters, Margaret Hammitt of Havana, FL, Velma Hindman of Taylors, Marilyn Miller of Greer, Aileen Sykes of Hope Mills, NC, Ada Harrison of Greer, and Frances Southerland of Taylors; and three grandchildren, G. Dean Jackson of Piedmont, Tami J. Dermid of Alexandria, VA and Beckie F. Hiott of Mauldin; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and great great-grandchildren.She was also predeceased by two sons, Maurice “Bud” Jackson and Gary Jackson; four brothers; one sister and one grandchild.A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Hillcrest Memory Gardens, conducted by Rev.
