"Pop" was born 20 Dec 1905 to Georgf F. Carpenter and Hattie Brackett Carpenter in Blackwell Ok,returned to Ky where he grew up in the Lancaster area,1932 married Evalyna Mullins from Wildie Ky,They moved to Richmond Ky where he was a Police Officer.. my sister Diane was born 1933...I,Gene, came along in 1936, in 1939 we moved to Radford Va,where he was a Hercules Powder Co Security Officer. 1942 he joined Navy to serve his country,brother David was born in Norfolk Va 1944. Pop was a stern but loving father and grandfather..He was a skilled hunter and fisherman,loved the out of doors, we always had a roof over our heads,food on the table, clothes on our backs, shoes on our feet and the house was warm in the winter...He taught us right from wrong.. He retired from the Portsmouth Naval Base Police Dept.. There was a divorce 1967 or so, he remarried 1971 or so to another Evalyna...I wish we could have spent more time with him,he would have enjoyed my 2 daughters and 2 sons, but we lived too far away and he never got to see the youngest. He's gone these 19 years but most definately not forgotten!!He didn't know it but his GGGGGrand father John (Zimmerman) Carpenter was the son of Revolutionary War Patriot George (Zimmerman) Carpenter,died at Valley Forge Pa..John was one of the 3 brothers who built Carpenter's Station on the Green River at the Hanging Forks near Hustonville Ky. back in 1780...So while Pop was not one the Arristocratic famous he is famous to us anyway!! Some day I'm gonna dig him up an haul him back to Kaintuck cause I know that's where he wanted to be laid to rest.

FORT MYERS, Fla. Richard L. Carpenter, 64, of Fort Myers, Fla., died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011 in Fort Myers, Fla.
He was born Aug. 27, 1946 in Hillsdale to Wayne K. and C. Darlene (Carpenter) Carpenter. They both preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at California Cemetery in Branch County with Pastor Jim Hazekamp officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery. A military committal service will be conducted by members of the Fremont American Legion. A gathering for family and friends will be held at the home of Charlie Free burn following the graveside services.

Bio: David Lee Carpenter, 69, of Las Vegas, died peacefully Feb. 18, 2016, at his residence.He was born Nov. 10, 1946, in Lima, the son of the late Harold "Ted" and Audrey "Dolly" Carpenter. His wife, Lynda Carpenter, survives.Also surviving are two daughters, Suzanne Carpenter, of Las Vegas, Nev., and Heather (Paul) Stegal, of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters, two brothers, Ken Carpenter, of Bluffton, and Gary (Shannon) Carpenter, of North Carolina; and a sister, Victoria (Mike) Hoenie, of Pennsylvania.He was a 1964 graduate of Columbus Grove High School and a 1968 graduate of Bowling Green State University, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the football team. Dave retired from State Farm Insurance in Uniontown, where he owned and operated his agency for more than 30 years.Dave was able to complete his bucket list of seeing all of the Major League Baseball stadiums before he died.A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.Contributions may be given to the Wounded Warriors Project.Condolences may be expressed by mail to 2524 High Range, Las Vegas, NV 89134.Published in The Lima News from Mar. 8 to Mar. 9, 2016

Col. (Ret.) Bob Carpenter, P.E. – Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer
Company Founder, Chief Executive Officer, and President. Prior to retiring from the United States Army after 25 years of service, Colonel Carpenter was Commander and Chief Executive Officer of the Jacksonville District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Leading the largest Civil Works District in the Corps, he directed planning, engineering, and construction in Florida and the Caribbean. He was also the Federal lead for the Everglades Restoration Project, director of the largest Federal regulatory division in the Nation and forward Commander for the Corps of Engineers on several Emergency Relief Operations in support of FEMA. Other major military accomplishments include conducting international negotiations with the government of Qatar and commanding a heavy construction battalion.
Mr. Carpenter establishes the strategic direction for the Company; determining priorities; allocating resources; and otherwise directing and controlling the daily operations of the Company. Mr. Carpenter directs all company consulting actions for both contract claims and environmental permitting.
Mr. Carpenter is a licensed Florida General Contractor, Virginia Registered Professional Engineer, and LEED AP. He is a West Point graduate and holds Master Degrees from Stanford University and the U.S. Army War College.
