Ralph M. Carpenter, Jr., age 64, of Worthington passed away at 1:08 A. M., Sunday, April 23, 2006 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
He was born Mar. 31, 1942 in Sullivan to Ralph M. Carpenter, Sr. & Daisy (Haviland) Carpenter.
He retired from NSWC Crane and the Army reserve. He was an Army Veteran of Desert Storm.
He was a member of Coalmont Baptist Church, Worthington V. F. W. Post 7117 and Linton Bass Club.
He is survived by his wife, Deloris (Earlywine) Carpenter of Worthington; two daughters, Pamela (Jeff) Lester of Freedom; Lee Ann Carpenter of North Plainfield, NJ; one son, Brian (Vinnie) Carpenter, of Spencer; four grandchildren, Ashley & Zach Lester, Leslie Kelley & Amy Oakley; four great grandchildren, Madison & Jaylan Cunningham, Kyra Taylor & Lilly Stahl; one brother, Randy Carpenter of Indianapolis; two sisters, Edwina Vaugh of Sullivan; Shirley Carpenter of St. Louis, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Paul Carpenter.
Funeral service Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington 11:00 A. M. Thursday, April 27, 2006, with Keith Bellinger, officiating.
Friends may call at Welch & Cornett 4:00 to 8:00 P. M. Wednesday and 9:00 A. M. Thursday until time of service.
Burial will be in Pleasant Bethel Cemetery.

Paul Wayne Carpenter, 58, of Sullivan passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute.  He was born in Sullivan, IN to Harry Carpenter and Delores June (Long) Carpenter.  

He was a 1981 graduate of North Central High School, had worked for the Sullivan County Highway Department and was a member of the Abundant Grace House of Prayer. The most important things to Paul was his family and Lord and Savior. Preceding him in death are his parents a brother Bob, a sister Harriett Mora and a niece Theresa Bush.

Surviving him in death are his wife Ellen Mae (Pearison) Carpenter, 2 sons,  Collin and Dakota Carpenter, a  brother Darrel (Christy) Carpenter,  sisters Pat Ford, Michelle Carpenter, nephews Asher Bush, Ryan Carpenter, a niece Addison Bush, and several other nieces nephews and other family and friends.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m on Friday September 11, 2020 at The Abundant Grace House of Prayer with Rev. Tommy Pearison officiating.  Visitation will be at the church  from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.  Burial will be at Johnson Cemetery  Services have been entrusted to Holmes Memorial Chapel.  The family would like to thank all those in attendance in advance for wearing masks.

Norman Dale Carpenter July 6, 1926 - Nov. 14, 2017

Norman Dale Carpenter was finally ready to meet his maker on Nov. 14, 2017.
He was born in upper Sandusky, Ohio, on July 6, 1926, to Ora and Bernice Carpenter. If you ever met Norm, you couldn't help knowing his whole life story. He told you. He had a lot to be proud of.
He generously served in the Army Air Corps during WWII and was a member of numerous civic organizations, including Hanna Lions Club and Fire Department. He also taught generations of Hanna kids to swim. He had a 40 year career with Conrail.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Morris Gene and son, Dale. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of 70 years as of Dec. 17, 2017; daughters, Anna Skiles (Gary) and Julie Young (Dave); grandchildren, Gretchen Skiles, Sara Sech (Justin) and Ryan Young; great-grandchildren, Landon and Henry Sech.
Deepest gratitude goes to Agnes, Dunes Hospice, Seniors Helping Seniors and Meals on Wheels for enabling Norm to realize his dear desire to stay at home with Evelyn.
Memorials can be made to Hanna Methodist Church, Dunes Hospice, Seniors Helping Seniors, La Porte County Meals on Wheels, Hanna Fire Department, Lions Club or Boy Scouts of America.
His Celebration of Life will be on Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. at the Hanna Methodist Church with military honors.
