Everett was born in Watertown, New York to William Lamphere and Nina Irene Ripley on April 8, 1905.  He was the eldest of six children; Donald, Leo and Leon (twins), Elsie and Marion were his siblings.  Everett was on his own from about 1916, his parents (upon their separation / divorce) placed all the children in the Watertown Orphanage except Everett who ran away the night before.  He was a hard worker his entire life, doing jobs at an early age as a newsboy in New York City, working at a dairy farm in New York, and retiring as a truck driver.  He was an amazing man and the father of Leon and Tommy Lamphere, Sheila Lamphere Jensen, Donna Lamphere Gonzales and Dori Lamphere Justice.

Martha was born on September 25, 1924 in Greene County, Indiana the daughter of Oral and Dora (Carpenter) Floyd.

She was a member of the Bloomfield First Christian Church and several euchre and bridge clubs.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Sue Pritts (Tom) and Nancy Cook (Ron) both of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, Angie Chamberland (Bill) of Montezuma, Indiana, Lori Straw (Mark) of Clinton, Indiana, Jessica Cook and Maria Harrell (Joe) both of Citrus Springs, Florida; two great-grandsons, Craig and Jimmie Straw both of Clinton and one sister Louellen Haldeman of Bloomfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Merrell Himebrook in 1963 and one sister.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Rev. Arlen Pope and Rev. Dave Wilde officiating.  Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Carpenter in 1970; three sons, Charles George Carpenter, Austin Leo Carpenter, and Kenneth Dewayne Carpenter; a granddaughter, Cheryl Ann Brown; three brothers, Earl Helms, Argil Helms, and Virgil Helms; and four sisiters, Iva Miller, Geneva Selke, Ica Curtis, and Opal Maxwell.  Funeral service will be at Day Funeral Home on Thursday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. She was retired from RCA and was a farmwife on the family dairy farm. She was a member of Whitehall Wesleyan Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Paul E. Deckard; 1 son, Mark E. Deckard of Whitehall; 1 brother, Curtis Carpenter of Martinsville, IN.; 3 sisters, Mildred Jean Crafton of New Palestine, IN., Zella Mae Brown of Carlsbad, N.M. & Janet Alexander of Lewisville, IN; 4 grandchildren, Cheryl Rousey, Karen Babbs, Jesse Deckard and Amber Deckard and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by 1 daughter, Wanda Melton in 2005; 1 grandson, Roger Richards, Jr.; and 3 brothers, Charles George Carpenter, Austin Carpenter and Kenneth Carpenter.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14th, at Day Funeral Home, with Rev. Donnie Campbell officiating. Entombment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Paul Edwin Deckard, 82, of Whitehall passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Bloomington Hospital due to complications from surgery. He was born on February 3, 1928 in Monroe County to the late Jesse and Lorena (Grubb) Deckard.
Paul was a Dairy Farmer and a stone worker for Indiana Limestone Company. He was a member of the Associated Milk Producers Association for 35 years. Paul and Ruth were married on April 30, 1945 and they lived the majority of their lives working on the family farm in Whitehall where they were no strangers to hard work and long days.
He leaves behind his son Mark E. Deckard of Whitehall; 4 grandchildren, Cheryl Rousey, Karen Babbs, Jesse Deckard, Amber Deckard. He also leaves behind his sister, Geneva (Joseph) Taylor, of Whitehall, and 7 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Ruth Deckard in 2007, his daughter, Wanda Melton in 2005, and infant grandson, Roger Richards Jr.

Zella Mae (Carpenter) Brown, age 84, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, December 09, 2020 in Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born February 22, 1936 in Bloomington, Indiana to George A. Carpenter and Tressie A. (Helms) Carpenter. Zella Mae spent her school years in Indiana, graduating from high school in New Lisbon, Indiana. On June 04, 1954, she married Louis B. Brown in New Lisbon, Indiana. They were married for 61 years.

In July 1955, Zella Mae and Louis moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico and established their home. In 1974, she went to work for Von Burba Agency in Carlsbad and retired from there in 2007. During that 34 years, she met many, many dear friends including her employer Von Burba and his wife Gloria who remained close friends for the rest of her life. She was a professional bookkeeper and insurance agent.

Upon her retirement in 2007, she and Louis moved to Springfield, Missouri to be close to their children and their Indiana family. Her love for her Lord and family were paramount to her. Zella Mae was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all those who knew her.

Zella Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Louis; parents; three brothers; Austin, Curtis and Kenneth Carpenter; and one sister, Ruth Deckard.

She is survived by Daughter, Vickie and husband David Hutson of Battlefield, Missouri; Daughter, Joyce McCullough of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Son David Brown and his wife Mindy of Carlsbad, New Mexico and stepson Garry Camden and wife Theresa of Longs, South Carolina. Five grandchildren, Melissa Hutson, Meaghan Hutson Baker, Andrew McCullough, Deborah McCullough and Rebecca McCullough, three step grandchildren; Tammy Sheedy and Garry and Jeremy Camden, and three "extended" grandchildren; Amanda and Kenny Willis and Patty Avery. Seventeen great grandchildren and three great greatgrandchildren. Sister; Jean Crafton of Greenfield, Indiana, Sister; Janet Alexander and husband Robert of Cambridge City, Indiana and Sister-in-law; Dorothy Carpenter of Dublin, Indiana and a special friend of over 50 years; Judie Davis of Springfield, Missouri.

A Celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 1 o'clock p.m. at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Missouri. Burial will be at a later date at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Bloomfield, Indiana. Cremation has taken place.
