Wanted to pass the news along to you and those in group 7.
My Grandpa - Wesley John Carpenter passed away Monday 12/20/21 at 8:30am in his house, in Midvale Idaho surrounded by family. He lived a very long and happy life. I believe the obituary will come out next Thursday the the local news paper.
His memorial service will be held next Thursday 12/30/21 at 11:00am ish at the Cambridge, Idaho Fairgrounds. Burial will be at the Midvale Idaho cemetery.
I would like to get our family line added to group 7 and will work on getting my YDNA submitted.
Appreciate all you do to keep track of this. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Years!

Barbara was born July 7, 1932, the fourth daughter of Ray and Mildred Bean, in New Plymouth, ID. She died of Alzheimer's Disease June 15, 2017, at a memory care facility in Meridian, ID.She met William "Bill" Carpenter while in high school in New Plymouth. They married on July 6, 1949, one day before her seventeenth birthday. She was the first female Student Body President of New Plymouth High School during her senior year while her new husband was serving in the Army in Guam. She graduated salutatorian in 1950.
Bill and Barbara were married for 67 years and raised five children. They moved many times throughout their marriage because Bill was transferred many times while working for the phone company. The majority of their marriage was spent in Jerome, Idaho and Meridian, Idaho.
While in Jerome, she worked for the school district for seven years. She also worked at the Bank of Idaho in Weiser, Idaho and was a receptionist for Dr. Noble in Boise after moving to Meridian. Most of her life she was a mother and a homemaker.
In her spare time, she played golf, played bridge, attended many ballgames of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She also did some quilting and made a quilt for each of her grandchildren as a high school graduation gift.
She was the first president of the then Cherry Lane Golf Club Ladies Association. She was a member of the Catholic Church wherever they lived, serving twice as the president of the Catholic Women's League at St. Jerome's Parish in Jerome, ID.
After Bill retired in 1986, they traveled to many places across the U.S. and Canada. They spent many winters in Arizona and Southern California.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters and their spouses: Anne (Neill) Mathews, Arlene (Del) Rice, and her third child, William J. Carpenter, who died of Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 14 in 1969.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; four children: Camille (Rick) Jones, of Roseburg, OR, Louise (Dick) Davis, of Meridian, Brad (Chanel) Carpenter, of Hillsboro, OR, and Mary Anne (Brad) Verigan, of New Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Cisney; three half-brothers: Larry (Dora) Bean, Darrald (Janice) Bean and Harold Bean.
Funeral services, under the direction of Accent Funeral Home in Meridian, Idaho will include a rosary at, 7:00 PM on Monday, June 19th. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20th, both services will be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Rd. in Meridian.
Committal service will be held at 2:30 PM at Parkview Cemetery in New Plymouth.
