Mr. Jimmy Clark, Sr. age 70 of Mt. Vernon, KY passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at the VA Medical Center in Lexington, KY.

Jimmy was born December 28, 1950, in Dry Fork, KY to the late Roy Clark and the late Betty (Carpenter) Vaughn. Jimmy was a veteran of the U.S. Army, was a member of the Sunrise Baptist Church, was a carpenter and enjoyed traveling, riding 4-wheelers, woodworking, and music.

Those left to celebrate his life are his two sons:  Jimmy Clark, Jr. and wife Jessica of Brodhead, KY, Michael Roy Clark and wife Stacey of Mt. Vernon, KY; eight grandchildren:  Dustin Jones, John Jones, Jamie Stewart, Brandon Jones, Donald Adams Jr., Dwayne Clark, Makenzie Clark, Rusty Clark; five great-grandchildren; two brothers:  Milton Clark and wife Joyce of Deputy, IN, Dennis Clark and wife Darlene of McKee, KY; and one sister:  Sallie Martin and husband Tim of Mt. Vernon, KY.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters:  Becky Hundley, Patty Clark; and nine siblings:  Russell Ford, Gertrude Smith, Coy Clemmons, Henry Clark, LeRoy Clark, Stanley Clark, JT Clark, Culen Clark, and Marie Bray.

Visitation for Jimmy Clark, Sr. will be Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 11:00 am until time for the funeral service at 1:00 pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Stanley Ford officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers are Dwayne Clark, Jimmy Clark Jr., Milton Clark, Dennis Clark, Jamie Stewart, Michael Clark, Raymond Clark, and Leamon Clark.

Bio:
Elizabeth (Carpenter) Wilson was born March 6, 1936 in Jackson County and departed this life Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Annville, being 77 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Milt & Lillie (McDaniel) Carpenter.

Elizabeth is survived by four children, Linda Faye Gabbard and her husband Ray of Annville, Billy Ray Blanton and his wife Mildred of McKee, Willie Blanton Jr. of Annville and Freddie Blanton and his wife Michelle of Clay County. She is also survived by a sister, Eliza Harrison of McKee and by three brothers, Johnny Carpenter of McKee, David Carpenter of Lancaster and Andrew Carpenter of Annville. Elizabeth was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by a brother, Saul Carpenter and by four sisters, Betty Vaughn, Maude Clark, Jeanette Gibbons and Ruhama Shelton.

Elizabeth was of the Holiness Faith.

Funeral service was held 3:00PM Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Brian Thomas and Bro. Alfred Hensley officiating. Burial followed in the Seven Pines Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ray Gabbard, Chris Estep, Travis Blanton, Bimbo Smith, Brandon Blanton & Billy S. Blanton. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
