723. Levi Carpenter

MYSTERY:  Two Levi Carpenters - One born in Mar 1862 and the other on 23 Sep 1858.  Both marry different people and have different documented children.  BOTH show up in the various census records.  In 1870 and 1880 one of them is living with John, brother of Peter and in the 1880 US Census he is listed as a nephew.  Yet the only sons of Joseph that I have are John and Peter.  This means there is a son of Joseph un-accounted for who left his son Levi (b. 23 Sep 1858) with his brother John.
