Sorry that I did not get back to you sooner.
Yes, Lula is correct. I met her a couple of times and her daughter is still living. Lula was married 3 times. Her first husband deserted her, as he did not want the responsibility of a child.
So, while I am working on her grandson's family tree, or rather adding to what he all ready has, I am also trying to link the family on findagrave.
I am a person who likes to document everything. So, that I like the internal sources.
Lula's grandson has been confirming what I have been finding for his family. In fact, he confirmed that Lula's brother, Earnest lived near Michigan City, Indiana, as I had found that there is an obituary for him at the Michigan City Library from their website. He thinks that he has a copy of the obituary in his files, though I can look at the microfilm one of the times that I am in that area.
I asked about another brother, Farris, as I found a Kentucky death certificate for him, though it says that his name was Boyd, not Farris His parents names were correct, even if his name was not. It said that he had died of a gun shot wound to the thigh. Well, I think that I have found a front page article about it, but I am waiting to here back from that Kentucky library. I was told that he did indeed die of a gun shot wound.
If you would like any information or copies, please let me know.
Now, I just looked at the thumb drive that you sent me earlier in the year to see what information that you all ready have for the family. (Sorry, just too much going on. One thing after another.) Looking at your Read Me, I am not seeing a folder with the file. All that I have is the read me and the picture icon. Am I not doing something correctly??

I was just looking at some of Lula's grand daughters postings. This might help. She says that the 1920 calls her grandmother Lulie, as her name was Lula Mae.
Looking at the census, that makes sense.
