She was preceded in death by her husband Hoyt Carpenter and four children: Robbie, Doris, Charles, Regina and Pat Carpenter, and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Stepp of Ozark; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Gelene Carpenter of Ozark.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Belt Cemetery in Ozark with Timmie Mann officiating, under direction of Shaffer Funeral Home of Ozark.

John Bruton Carpenter was born in Madison County, Arkansas, to General Morgan Carpenter and Mary Alice Williams. He married Samantha Ellen Short 29 Oct 1879 in Madison County, and they had 10 children of which 7 lived to marry and raise families.John Bruton farmed during most of his youth, but became a smithy and owned and operated a blacksmith shop on South Main in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma next to the Katy Rail Line. The family home was on the north side of town, a few doors down from the rear of the old Central Elementary School.
He died at 78 years of age of nephritis.

Huntsville- Mrs. Annie B. Carpenter, 84, of Route 5, Huntsville, died Aug. 4 in the Madison County Hospital. She was born Aug. 24, 1886 in Knoxville, Tenn.
Survivors are two sons, Charlie of Huntsville and Cecil of Tulsa; two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Lyman of Huntsville and Mrs. Ruby Wharton of
Springdale; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great- great - grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 2 pm Saturday at the Huntsville Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Carpenter Cemetery.

Death invaded the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Carpenter at an early hour Tuesday night and took as it's victim, their little son, Sexton, who had been a sufferer for only a few days from pneumonia.
Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter have only recently moved into our town, yet they have the deepest sympathy of our entire people in this hour of their saddest bereavement.
The remains of the deceased were carried to Crystal Springs Wednesday for interment.
Those accompanying the family from here were Messrs. A. L. Smith, and T. H. Harper and Mrs. H. D. Lampton and Miss Sarah Rankin. Info by Shirley Fortenberry Ramshur.

Funeral services for Plummer B. Carpenter, 60, resident of Deborah Drive, Brandon, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from Wright and Ferguson Chapel. Interment will follow in the Strong Hope Cemetery in Copiah County.
Carpenter died Tuesday in Rankin General Hospital following a brief illness.
A native of Strong Hope Community, Copiah County, Carpenter had lived in Brandon for the past 10 years.
He retired on May 31, 1962 from the United States Air Force after 20 years service.
He was employed as a warehouse supervisor for Delta Trailer Sales.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Brandon.
