107. Mary F. "Mollie" Carpenter

BIRTH:  See below.
Birth is given as 14 Jun 1842 - the birth date is not on the grave - but calculations based on the Aged years, months and days and allowing for two different death months indicate a birth about 9 Nov 1842 or about 9 Sep 1843.
I have no idea where the 14 Jun 1842 birth date comes from. We really need the citation.
In the mean time, I am using "abt" with the birth date.

NOTE:
Grave marker indicates she died on Feb 6, or Dec 6, 1882 Aged 39 years, 2 months and 27 days.
Using death of 6 Feb 1882 this works out to have the birth about 9 Nov 1842.
Using the death of 6 Dec 1882 this works out to have the birth about 9 Sep 1843.

Clark Chronicle Clark, Missouri Thursday June 28, 1917
A.J. CARPENTER
The deceased was born in Randolph county, near Moberly, October 13, 1856 and resided in that community until October 1886 when he was married to Miss Emma adams of near Clark and since that date resided upon the farm where he died. To this union were born six children who survive the father, the mother having proceeded him to the grave in October 1909. The children are Misses Mary, Cathryn, Anna Arlene and Wilbur, Earl and Henry.
Mr. Carpenter was a member of the Clark Methodist Church, having untied in faith with that church during the big revival here last summer.the deceased was one of the communities progressive farmers and his labors were not in vain as at the time of his death owned over two hundred acres of fine farming land in Audrain County. He was a man with many friends and all who knew him held him in high esteem for his true worth as a citizen. In his death the community has lost one of its splendid citizens, one who will not only be missed from the council of his friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist Church in this city Friday afternoon by Rev. J.J. Copeland, pastor of the Methodist Church. Hundreds of friends were in attendance to pay the last tribute to their friend. Burial services were held at Chapel cemetery.
The chronicle joins with the many friends of the children and other relatives in extending heartfelt sympathies.
