Funeral services for Mrs. Clydell Carpenter, age 98, of Jack will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Victoria Baptist Church on Highway 125 in the Victoria community.
Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Geneva County with Thrash-Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Vernon J. (Mary L.) Carpenter, Jack; daughter-in-law, Johnnie Merle McGowin, Brundidge; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.

James Allmon Carpenter, Jr., 88 years old passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at home. Mr. Carpenter was born to James Allmon and Carol Bishop Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Carol Bishop Carpenter and siblings Carolyn C. Butler, Sally Elizabeth Carpenter, Preston Carpenter and Shirley C. Dorgan and daughter Pamela Marie Carpenter; wives Magdalena (Bonnie) Feuling, Grace O'Rourke and Pearl Dickens. He is survived by Larry Carpenter (Ingrid), Janice Neitzel (Steve), Patricia Albrecht (Steve) and James A. Carpenter III: grandchildren Richard E. Carpenter, Sr. (Amy), Christopher Albrecht, Jason Carpenter, Julie Albrecht and Jessica C. Scheurer, and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Carpenter is also survived by four siblings, Stanley Carpenter, Mollie C. Perry, Mary Etta C. Brown and Willie Neville C. Parrish.
Mr. Carpenter was President and owner of Carpenter Mfg. Co. for 40 years. He was a past member of Buccaneer Yacht Club, Mobile Chamber of Commerce. Mobile Better Business Bureau and St. Monica Catholic Church. Wake was held from 12:30 to 1:50 pm at Pine Crest funeral Home and graveside services at 2:00 pm at Pine Crest Cemetery on April 29, 2014. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Goodwill Easter Seals, St. Mary's Home, St. Dominic Catholic Church or your favorite charity.

Born on October 20, 1924 in Boston, MA, she passed away at her residence in Mobile on October 28, 2000. She moved to Mobile in 1954 as an employee with Hollingsworth-Whitney. This company merged with Scott Paper in 1954. She was a member of the National Secretary Association. She held several positions in the organization. She also belonged to several other organizations. Prior to being a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church; she was an active member of Saint Monica's Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, James A. Carpenter, Jr.; 4 step-children, Larry P. Carpenter (Ingrid) of Mobile , Janice C. Neitzel (Steve) of Gulf Shores, Patricia C. Albrecht (Steve) of Mobile, and James A. Carpenter III of Mobile. She has five step-grandchildren; Richard E. Carpenter, Christopher Albrecht, Julie Albrecht, Jason Carpenter and Jessica Carpenter, all of Mobile. She is also survived by her sister, Claire Jackman of Boston, MA and a devoted cousin, Alice Hart of Boston, MA. In addition, she is survived by two nieces, Sheila J. Campbell and Erin Jackman; and 5 nephews, Shean R. Jackman, Greg Jackman, James G. Jackman, Gary Jackman, and Michael Jack man of Waltertown, MA. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, October 31, 2000 from St. Dominic Catholic Church at 10 AM. Visitation will be 5 PM to 7 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Building Fund at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 4156 Burma Rd., Mobile, AL 36693. I am just starting this thing. I am adopted. I do know my father's name is Larry J. Carpenter in Upson County GA. He has a Bro. Wayne & his mother's name is Damie who remarried & is now Damie Waller. His father's name was Jessie & I hear he died in N. Carolina. So far on my search, I think he died in 1970 & left a wife behind, if i have the correct Jessie. Any help will be greatful.
I do not include Larry's generation in my research. At findagrave (Larry J. Carpenter) there is a pic of his stone which gives him born 1943 in Upson Co. GA and died Dec 31 2004 Griffin Co. GA, he was buried in Thomaston, Upson Co. GA. You can also get a birth in 1943 from his partial obit which states...

RAYFORD CARPENTER
Rayford Carpenter, 70, of Andalusia, died Friday, January 28. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 30, at Keahey Chapel. Burial followed in Bethany Baptist Church cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
He was a member of the Andalusia Volunteer for 13 years and was "Volunteer Fireman of the Year" for Andalusia in 1969.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Carpenter of Andalusia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Faye and Michael Fefford of Prattville and Donna Kaye and Michael Wickman of Gantt; two sisters, Ola Mae Darby of Andalusia and Jeanette Lister of Pensacola; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; seven sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law.
Serving as pallbearers were Brian Lucai, Chris Lucai, Blaine Lee, Ira Lee, Ed Wells, Gene Griffin and Jimmy Gillis.

After a painful battle with cancer, Alice Taisler is now pain free and untied with her father, Felix Hecl (1959), her mother, Tracy Gilliam (2013), and her daughter, Cheryl Baker (2002).
Alice was born February 7, 1938, in Jerrell, the only child of Felix and Tracy. She attended Bartlett grade school as well as SSC&M Catholic School and Durham Business College.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She leaves behind her husband, Ben; and three sons and their families, Gary (Ann) and DelDe, Warren (Sandra), Jenna and Abby Travis (Anita), Brandy and Regan; also many grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Providence Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 12 to 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 15, at Providence Funeral Home.
Per her wishes, cremation and graveside services at Holy Cross in Granger at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 15.
