Obituary
The News (Frederick, MD) - May 20, 1944
Maurice H. Zimmerman, prominent farmer of near Mt. Airy, died Friday morning at 3 o'clock in his sleep, aged 63 years, 6 months and 11 days. He was a native of Frederick County and had been ill since February 14.
He was a son of the late Edward J. and Amanda S. Zimmerman and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Margaret Virginia [Carpenter], Brookville; a son, Maurice E. Zimmerman, at home; two grandchildren; three brothers, Samuel E., Feagaville; George M., Mt. Airy, and David E. near Libertytown, and a sister, Mrs. Ethel M. Walter, Gaithersburg.
Funeral services Monday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the funeral home in Winfield, conducted by Rev. Andrew F. Theisz, pastor of the Woodbine Lutheran church. Interment in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville. C. M. Waltz, funeral director.

The Rev. Mark R. Waddell officiated. Bearers were Donald Chrobot, James Craver, Cloyd Bittner, Robert Norwood, Melvin Zimmerman, Billy R. Plott. Interment was in Parklawn Memorial Park, Rockville.

Mr. Lawrence Carpenter, 66, Circleville, died Sunday afternoon in Mount Carmel Medical Center. Born Aug. 5, 1915, in Circleville, he was the son of Isaac and Fannie Pamm Carpenter.
He is survived by his wife, Ricie Casto Carpenter, two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Karol) Wells, of Hamden and Mrs. Rick (Arlene) Blue of Circleville; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Thomas of Columbus and Mrs. Lillian Stevens of Circleville; three brothers, Ralph of Columbus, Donald of Florida and Robert of Circleville.
He was a civilian employee of the department of transportation department of Rickenbaker ANGB and a member of the Campus Church of Christ in Christian Union.
Services were entrusted to Wellman Funeral Home of Circleville, Ohio.
