Subject: An addition to your 2013 Descendants of William Carpenter
Allow me to introduce myself -- I am an 87 year old Professor Emerita of Brown University who retired three years ago and began work on my geneology to occupy my mind. From when I was a child I remember the family talking about Remember and Remember Read Carpenter. My mother kept excellent records of all births and dates going back that far. From the surname Bloomfield in the third generation section of your paper I was taken to my maternal grandfather Rev. George J. Bloomfield, married to my grandmother Nettie Manning Carpenter (21 June 1865 - 1 Oct. 1947). They had two children, Elliot Manning Bloomfield (1894 - 1952) who had no children and my mother Margaret Hunter Bloomfield (6 Dec. 1901 -16 Aug. 1995). She married my father Gilbert H. Barker and I was born 14 Sept. 1930, never married and have no children. All of my maternal relatives lived in Pawtucket or nearby for many generations. I am thrilled to be able to trace the Carpenter line back so far.
There is one mistake in the writeup for Benjamin Lanard Carpenter (Nettie's father). He was married to Barbara Maria McMillen (1841-1931) who was born in Scotland and immigrated when she was 10 years old.
I am hoping that you will add this material to your record. If you need more verification I will be happy to provide you with the pertinent write ups I have generated from our family material back to Remember Carpenter. It has been a very interesting journey back further to William Carpenter who is buried about five miles from my house.

From when I was a child I remember the family talking about Remember and Remember Read Carpenter. My mother kept excellent records of all births and dates going back that far. From the surname Bloomfield in the third generation section of your paper I was taken to my maternal grandfather Rev. George J. Bloomfield, married to my grandmother Nettie Manning Carpenter (21 June 1865 - 1 Oct. 1947). They had two children, Elliot Manning Bloomfield (1894 - 1952) who had no children and my mother Margaret Hunter Bloomfield (6 Dec. 1901 -16 Aug. 1995). She married my father Gilbert H. Barker and I was born 14 Sept. 1930, never married and have no children. All of my maternal relatives lived in Pawtucket or nearby for many generations. I am thrilled to be able to trace the Carpenter line back so far.
